Fact: Asparagus contains large quantity of aspartic acid, which is carried through your kidneys and excreted, producing a distictive odor. There's nothing harmful about it - so don't avoid one of the best vegetables around.

i dont like asparagus, but my husband does. It make other body fluids taste funny too. My four year old grandaughter loves it but she calls it grass. She often asks for grass and trees for dinner. Asparagus and broccolli.

children really have a funny way of naming things. we find their way cute and we give them hugs for that. grass and trees for favorite foods. how nice that can be. i love the sound of it.

i have noticed this happening to me before. perhaps it is because i never took plenty in one sitting. this is also the first time i have heard about aspartic acid. obviously, it is derived from asparagus. thank you for this information.

Eat a ton of it, and your whole body will smell funny from excreting "asparagus" in your sweat. Haha, still love it though!
