Why Is The Other Side Of Your Pillow Always Cooler?

Seriously folks, why is the other side of your pillow ALWAYS cooler? It kinda freaks me out. I would assume its because heat escapes from your head, thus warming you pillow, and the other side stays at room temp. So it only seems that its alot cooler, due to head warmth. What do you think? Anyone know the exact reason why?

I love the cooler side of my pillow. I actually have two pillows so I can switch to the cold one in the middle of the night. I love my bedroom cold. I never turn the heat on in the bedroom.

You pretty much nailed it there ;), heat just doesn't move out in a straight line, so it's hottest close to the source.
