Dont you find it a tough decision at times when you have a discussion that maybe has gotten quite a few replies or maybe not even that many, but there are a few GOOD ones noteworthy of Best Response? It can be a hard decision, because I want the BR to go to the person most deserving of it, sometimes I will study responses to pick out the best one but it can still be such a tough decision!! What do you do in this situation? Do you rate the excellent responses with a + ?? What ultimately helps you choose ONE best response to your discussions? If two or even three are good candidates for this? Do you go at all by if they are your friend? If they are new? If the response is alittle longer? If they responded sooner? Do you wait to see if you get another response that could be better? What do you do? At times BR is so hard to pick! Good responses are given all the time! I am anxious to read your responses!! thank you :)

It is sometimes hard indeed to choose a best response I f I really hesitate between 2 or 3 very good ones, I wil usuallly pick the one who answered the soonest ... For the rating, I actually give a + to most of the people who answer my discussion unless it's a one liner or a meaningless answer What do you go by?

I usually will rate most good responses with a +, sometimes when I have a few that are close to best response I will choose the one that seems to be more lengthy and thought out more. Many times though there is the best one that just stands out by the advice they gave and how good they stayed to the content of my discussion.

I have the same problem on some of my discussions because there can be one discussion that has more than one excellent response. I don't look at whether the response was by my friend or not. I pick the response that is the closest to the way I think. Sometimes it has taken me awhile to pick a best response but when I finally mark it I know that is the one it should be. I look at the quality of the response above and beyond anything else.
