Well, someone might be a very creative person in his suroundings, and have many ideas that are revolutionary around him. But what if somewhere else in the world, his ideas are already well researched? Is this man truly original? Who do you call original/creative in your life? If you found out that his ideas are old in other places, would you still consider him this way?

That is a nice post. I will start with what i read in the dictionary. It is said that Originality is the aspect of created or invented works by as being new or novel. An original work is one not received from others nor one copied based on the work of others. The term "originality" is often applied as a compliment to the creativity of artists, writers, and thinkers. To me original goes always with creativity, it is the ability to reproduce things that have our unique style. To your question: if someones work ideas has already been researched, and he was not the first one to bring them up, he is not original.

But if he is on a very far away Island, and suddenly finds out the wheel, while noone in his suroundings ever thought about such a possibility? Isn't he considered original to his suroundings?

well if he is in an islnd that has their own society, and has no one from the outside that ever known this, yes it is orignal, but only by them. the minute they will connect the one person that is coming from the outside and is not isolated like them, they will no longer be original.
