Ok funny Question!

Ok so you know how two socks are called a pair. Why is it that you say a pair of pants, a pair of underwear? I mean really you only wear one!! So why is it a pair?? Pair means 2 or a couple. I Know I only wear one at a time!! LOL Just curiouse!!

Yeah, we do have some strange terminology on words. And this would be one of them.

Okay we don't have a "pair" of bras. Maybe it means pair becuase there are 2 legs that go in them? Hahahaha. Doesnt fit the bra question either I guess. Now I'm gonna go mad wondering why it's a pair and bras aren't. Ugghh! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hmmm... I read some of the other response, and this is a perplexing subject indeed. I like to think that maybe since there are a 'pair' of holes to hold your legs or something. I guess a pair of glasses is because there are actually two peieces of glass... Bra's? Yeah... it's all too inconsistant, I'm getting a headache.
