Why do some days fly by and others drag?

Had a really busy day at work today and it seemed I was only there for 5 minutes before it was time to go home, yet yesterday whilst it was still busy, it was very frustrating, nothing I did seemed to go right and the day seemed to go on forever.
Is it just me that has these 24hr days sometimes or do you find that no matter what you do the days just pass so quickly.
Also why do the weekends pass by so quick when you don't have to be doing anything, Monday is always upon me before I realise it.

its a well known phenominon, the more you enjoy something the quicker the time goes. I think it is because we are pleasure seeking animal that we only engage our mind fully with things we enjoy

Not sure work is pleasurable, but I understand where you are coming from. Keep the mind busy and the body follows in quickstep. I think any time you manage to be fully occupied helps time seem to pass faster.
