Are you obliged to love her because she gave birth to you?

I think not, a mum should most definately have to earn the title. If you don't know your mum then surely your not going to love her just because she carried you for nine months, that was her mistake not yours why should feel aany loss. A mother is someone who nurtures, who can be relyed on and who is to be respected. But that is just my opinion what is yours?

I am probably going to be very deep here, I think if the bond hasn't been struck from when you are a baby maybe love may not be there but I think there would be something maybe we don't understand as you are a part of that person but I think love as we know it has to be something as you put it a nurtured thing but I think a thread of something would have to be there not sure how to put it really....

There is the knowledge that she carried you but that is all i feel as i don't know her, all i know if that she was in the position where she could make decisions and she did, i had no say in the matter. But i would not chyange it. Thank you for your response
