How accurate is you weather on the homepage here?

Tonight in Scotland there is gale force winds and it is pouring. Well, of course I hear you say...it is Scotland. Not my point though. My little weather box claims that there will be sprinkles. Now sprinkles I feel is not a very scientific measurement but that outside could definately be described as a sprinkle no matter how far you stretch your imagination. So, should the myLot weather man be sacked or does he make up for his inaccuracies in your area?

Mine went through a period of not being there at all. Now I can only see it if I'm not logged in. It tells me the right place beased on my IP address, but after I am logged in the little sortie goes away. Anyhow, it isn't accurate at all. It is supposed to be partly sunny. It has rained off and on all day. It can be warm and nice one minute and chill and raining the next. I don't think the weatherman shoudl commit himself to anyting where the Irish weather is concerned.

You can rearrange your homepage and add stuff to it so you mustn't be using this feature of mylot to its full potential

No, I added it but it would never load. Now it doesn' show up at all. I probably deleted the sortie or container or whatever it was in a pique. It's hopeless, anyway. No weather forecast is going to keep up with this. The weather has already changed completely three times in the last hour and a half.

LOL no - let the poor man keep his job. My weather page is usually not too bad - give or take the vagueries of British weather, which means it can change within a few minutes. For some reason they do my weather reading in Bletchley - not in London itself, but it's at least as accurate as the BBC or Sky News weather. So I say - give him another chance:-))

mine's usually not too bad, he has the temperature about right and the description (I get sprinkles too lol). But the 3 different predictions aren't all in the same temperature format, the current one is celsius (which is what I selected) but the other 2 are in fareinheit which means absolutely nothing to me! Also I think the timing is a bit off, sometimes in the middle of the afternoon is has a picture of a moon, indicating nighttime lol

That is true. I have mine in celcius and my other days are in farenheit. One way to remember is in 1966 england won the world cup. 19 celcius = 66 farenheit. so i can tell roughly if it is going to be freezing or roasting.

Even weather dept. fails to tell about weather accurately . As weather is known for its uncertainty .Sometimes it is accurate and sometimes not that why its is called a forecast.

The weather forecast here in Singapore is pretty accurate. At most it is one day's delay only. Most of the times, if the weather for today is not accurate, the weather for today would be correct for tomorrow. That's my findings.

Actually, I had seen the weather thingy on my page and laughed. It gives me the weather for Toronto. Toronto is about 4 hours west of me. So whatever weather they are having I might get in a few days... But I don't pay attention to the weather forecasters anyways. Actually here in Canada we call them Meteorologists because it sounds official and there was a woman that sued a news agency for calling her a "weather girl" because it was harrassement or some stupid thing.

It is 34 centigrade degrees in my city. I'm from xi'an, China. It is an old city. There are lots of sights and historic sites here. It is capital of six dynasties, such as Ming dynasty, Qing dynasty. It is hot, dry without wind in summer. So you can't see many people on streets, and squares are very quiet during the day, but at night, there are lots of people on streets and squares, some chatting with each other, some walking and some dancing with their partners. They are enjoy the cool night. In winter, it is not cold, but very wet, I don't like it.
