When you are down . . . what will you do?

Life is always up and down. What will you do if you are down and upset. I am easy, I will take out my favorite ice-cream, chips and hot tea etc to munch, munch and munch. Thank god that I am still at my ideal weight. Or, talk to my children, they will definitey cheer me up by screening the DVD comedies (especially Sammi Cheng that will birghten up my day)

I find it very hard to just 'cheer up' when I am feeling down. I usually just let it out and have a good cry. I like to have a hug but my husband is not usually around then (part of what makes me feel low anyway) so I might go to my mum's house and let her be mum again and comfort me. Now I can try coming on MyLot and replying to other people - that would cheer me up.

I usually try to find something to do. Usually something to keep my physically busy. I think that helps me work through whatever the problem is. If nothing else, at least I'm not sitting and just thinking about it. Sometimes I'll eat one of my favorite foods and that helps me feel better too.

when i'm depressed i love to stay in my room alone to think things over and plan the things i needed to do. Most times i go to church and talk to my Lord, he has always been my comfort, never did let me down. He always provided me friends and loved ones to comfort me. God bless you and your family.

When I´m feeling blue, I usually just want to stay in bed and cry. Since I have kids, though, that just isn´t a possibility, so usually I will curl up on the bed and watch cartoons or a funny movie with my toddler and drink Pepsi. I find sugar helps, in fact, it was a major problem for me in my late teens. I was very depressed then and ate until I hit 200 lbs! So, now, I try to limit myself to one can of Pepsi and a small bag of salty snacks, which my son eats half of anyway! Also, getting out of the house can be a big help, since I work at home and seldom leave the confines of my room (we only have two rooms, ours and the boys´).

yes there are many incidents when i find myself my selfesteem down i feel much alone. then i prefer to read some good books and to go out in lap of nature to change my mood nad to regain my strenghts and selfesteem . i considerd books as my best friend as they helps me as loot when i feel to alone .

Sometimes just for not making me more stress and depressed I don't mind if I'm down. Really I once learned it before to control my self and just don't mind if I'm down coz If I think and mind it It will caused me sick and I know It is not good foe me. I'll just sometimes called a friend to talk to and played games or just sit on my computer so that I will forgot the feeling I have in mind.

Well, When I am down, I work to make my life better in some way. If I can improve the sitauation at all I do it. I also sing, dance, mediate, or write, or if alone allow myself to yell stomp and do all I can to release that tension.. Then I go find a positive activity to do, so I if my situation does not improve I can at least feel good for doing something constructives, but the best thing for me personally is just to tell my friends hat is bothering me and know they care enough to listen, and to keep me in there prayers and thoughts, and even offer ideas or suggestions. - DNatureofDTrain
