Did you have a innocent preschool or young childhood "boyfriend" or "girlfriend". Did you have a boyfriend or girlfriend as a young teen or did you wait til you were older? If you were young, did you tell your parents or keep it a secret?

My first boyfriend was when I was 17. At that time everyone I know had 10 boyfriends or so. I guess I was different from all of them. I didn't keep it a secret but I never introduced the guy to my parents, and I'm still thankful that I didn't because he's a stupid idiot:)

oh sorry. well, because he cheated on me with my friend and my friend and I just set it up to see if he falls for it, well he did, that's why I think he's stupid.

I had my first boyfriend in the 6th grade! I remember feeling so big because we exchanged notes and sat together on the school bus! Ha! We actually had a 6th grade graduation party and dance (given by the school....to 'send us on' to junior high) and he and I went to the dance together! His parents picked me up in their car. (He came to the door to get me) He had a corsage for me and everything! Ha!

Thanks for your response. If he came to the door, I guess that meant your parents knew about it...Were they okay with it? The corsage sounds cute! lol How long did you stay with him?

I had my very first boy friend at the age of 19, after I moved out of my Mom's house. I wasn't allowed to date nor allowed out of the house for that matter. Mom kept me under her thumb.

I was painfully late in getting my first girlfriend. I wasn't a bad looking kid but painfully shy and was too embarrassed to ever consider the prospect of asking a girl out and being rejected. It wasn't until I moved to Canada and found that having a Scottish accent was a huge plus in picking up the girls that I gained some momentum in that department.

Thanks for you response. I guess that's one of the good things about moving. You get to reinvent yourself if you want to.

I had my first boyfriend when I was 18 years old and get to a University. When I was teenager I wasn't allowed go somehwere that much with my friends, so I never have opportunity to meet somebody. And If I would have somebody I would not tell my parents, while we never talked about things like this. For talking about stuff like this I have my friends, who are here always for me.

Yeah I was about 8ish when I had my first boyfriend, my mom knew, he was the kid that lived across the street, we were best friends since the day we were born, he was a month and eleven days older than me. Sometimes I miss those days since it was so innocent back then.

I had my first real boyfriend when I was sixteen other then the preschool boyfriend deal . It was a long relationship considering he was my first real boyfriend and I was his first real girlfriend . We dated for almost two years before we broke up and then I dated another guy for a brief period of time and then got with the guy who is my husband today . Both my parents knew I had a boyfriend . My mom was not over thrilled as he was two years younger then myself but my dad didn't seem to mind at all .

I was a late bloomer LOL I think I was 18 or 19 when I first had a boyfriend. We were more like good friends than anything else and it only lasted a couple of months. I don't think I introduced him to my parents but my brothers all knew and my twin sister. My younger brother didn't like him and was very protective of me and didn't want me to go anywhere with him LOL

I remember being in kindergarten and my first little boyfriend was in my class. He asked me to marry him. He was the sweetest boy. Then by 1st grade he had forgotten it hahaha! My first real boyfriend was when I was 14. He was a quarterback for the Junior Varsity football team and he lived down the street from me. We rode the same bus together. He worked at the local store down the street from my house. I used to go there and visit with him and I remember our first date was to the state fair. My parents insisted on meeting him and he was very nervous but it went well. They thought he was a very respectful young man and he met their approval. His dad drove us to the fair and then picked us up. His father was very nice, but his grandparents didn't like me because I was korean and their son was killed in the korean war. It made me sad, I didn't kill their son, but they wouldn't even look at me or allow me into their house. He was very upset about that, but what could he do? He lived there and had to abide by their rules. Eventually we broke up and we remained friends until I moved from there.

I had a couple of "girlfriends" on primary school, all like non serious of course, like at the age of 14 or something the first "real" girlfriend. Looking back far from serious either.
