Since shortening is nothing but pure fat, I'm sure it's fattening. How about real lard?

Cheesecake. My favorite and I have my own recipe for Strawberry cheesecake that I use to make all the time for my husband when I first met him. He gained 15 pounds the first 6 months we were together because of all the food I was cooking for him.

Oh, that's so easy to do! I make a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake that's to die for, but I don't do it very often, because we don't need it. Mostly it's for company. Or I made one one time for a new pastor who professed to love cheesecake but who probably didn't weigh 120 lbs. soaking wet.

i would have to say double choc cake with double whipped cream with sugar and strawberries

Yes, it would be if anyone wanted to do it. I remember as children we used to think we were cool to eat the sugar out of the little packets at a restaurant. I really haven't thought about eating plain sugar since then.

Yes, and if you add all the fat in the pie crust and the frosting, these are both killers! Thanks for answering.

I knew someone was going to bring this up. Chocolates are my biggest weakness. Why couldn't I have been born more like my husband who prefers veggies to fattening snacks? Thanks for your response.

That sounds absolutely disgusting. I've never heard that one. I thought my grandmother's bread, butter, and sugar was nasty enough. I'm glad I didn't eat back then if these are the things they had. Thanks for sharing.

Lard. *shudders* I have a friend who actually used to eat it to show off. I almost puked when I saw it.

Yuck! I never heard of anyone eating it raw. The only way I've had it was in pie crust, and it's very very fattening but tasty in there.

I think that the most fattening food that you could eat would probably be a donut.

Yes, a donut is definitely near the top of the list. Just think of all that sugar and fat. If only they didn't taste so good! Thanks for your response.

Nuts. I use to eat those mixed nuts snacks a lot until I actually looked at the nutritional values. They contain a lot of fat.

Yes, nuts are fattening, but they are also supposed to be really good for you. I think moderation is the key here. Thanks for your response.

Have you tried the fat free sour cream? My husband isn't much into fat free, but he does like that.
