due to all the chemicals sprayed on our vegetables that we get from the market, it's always better if we get and eat veggies which are home grown. we are lucky to have a large yard and we can plant some veggies for the family. and i say, it's really a great way to cost cut finances. and veggies grown at home are healthier and fresher compared to what we get from the markets.

Well i live in an apartment and i don't have much space in my balcony to grow vegetables though we have some plants planted as my family loves to do gardening and like bit of greenry around. My mother usually buys vegetables from the vegetable market or store though prices are high but one has to manage. In our little garden we only managed to grow chillies, tulsi plants which has medicinal value, money plant as i'd love to eat home grown fresh vegetables. Cheers.:)

I live in an apartment and don't have a place to plant vegetables. I buy my vegetables from the store and wash them good when I come home. I am not worried about my vegetables from the store.

I don't really have the time to take care of a garden myself. My mom usually gives us fresh produce from her garden because she grows a lot more then what she needs. My fiancee does buy some of our produce from the farmers market when it is available or if she needs to she will go to the grocery store. I do worry about buying these items from other people because of all the scares that we have had.

I wish I could grow my own but our property is way too shady. My dad has a huge garden and I'm lucky enough to get some of his harvest. I would love to join a co-op this year to get produce straight from local farmers. I buy most of mine now from the grocery store and get organic whenever I can/can afford it.

Lankie, from my kitchen garden I can get only cylanthro, curry leaves, chillies and tomatoes. for rest of the vegetables, I go the market and buy locally grown vegtables.

I have a garden but nothing is ripe yet. I try to buy a lot of veggies from the farmer's market when it is open, but most of the time I am stuck buying them from the store. I do worry about what I buy so I try to buy organic when I can.

It is correct that home grown vegetables is good for health as it does not contain pesticides & other chemicals. They are more fresh also.earlier when we had big garden we used to have some plants of vegetables but now there is no space as we live in a apartment.so we have to buy vegetables from market.we have no other option.

we grow some vegetables at home...not that many though. we usually buy at the market but from good friends coz they always gives us fresh and good ones and we can trust them, we are not worried about it. we just get worried when their store is close or they are not open coz some vendors in the market tend to lie about the freshness and quality of the vegestables as long as they can make a sale on it.
