Paypal - Good new for Philippines friends - Paypal is now in ur country!

I have heard a lot of filipinos complaing abt Paypal dont work in their country. I got a good new for them! YESSS!
I dont know if all of you are aware of it. But I just checked paypal, and it is showing Philippines in the 'select country' option.
Pls Check and confirm.

i think what you really mean here is that you can open an account with paypal but you are UNABLE to withdraw funds from them yet.
To be more specific and clear about this issue, here's what paypal has to say to its members in the Philippines
---"PayPal accounts opened in your country currently cannot withdraw funds. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you.
We are continually expanding our global network to give valued users like you greater access to the wide range of PayPal options." This is what i read from my papal account today.

Hmm, i was not aware of that. Someone told me that we can use xoom.com to tranfer funds from paypal to our bank a/c - I am not sure if paypal allows that too! Also dunno if xoom.com serves ur county! u can check it out, n confirm, all the best.

Congrats to those who are in the Philippines mga kababayan hehehe. Its good to know that paypal has accepted phills as well. I recall a petition being made about paypal philippines that my cousin asked me to participate in once haha. she was always whining on how philippines was not an option in the country dropdown. Well not it is. Congrats again!
