I've recently read a post on people watching live adaptions of anime and was wondering where do they obtain them from? Plus I haven't watched much anime since my third son was born and would like to know if anyone knows of a good one I could watch with young children?

I know there are live adaptations of Prince of Tennis but I haven't seen them yet. The live version I have seen though is Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (PGSM) the live action version of Sailor Moon! It was really amazing, I watched the entire series on YouTube. It's a bit different from the anime, and only covers the first season of Sailor Moon (before Chibi-Usa showed up) but it's so cute and wonderful. How young are your kids? I would suggest Digimon, probably because that is one of my favorite shows... Or, if you have girls you should watch Card Captor Sakura, though I guess boys can like that too.

Have you tried Animesuki.com? It's a torrent site with loads of anime, there are some live action adaptations there including Hana Yori Dango and Jigoku Shoujo. You might want to check it out.

I'm going to point you towards www.tokyotosho.com They're a website that host links to stuff on other trackers. If you're worried about grabbing something that's licensed then www.boxtorrents.com would be better because they're pretty good at taking down licensed things. Boxtorrents is a private tracker, meaning you have to register to use it and maintain an acceptable download to upload ratio. Lastly the major piece you'll need for either of these is a torrent program. I recommend either www.utorrent.com or http://azureus.sourceforge.net Boxtorrents will probably be easier to navigate as I'm fairly certain they have a whole section dedicated to live action stuff.

If you want a family-friendly anime, you can't go wrong with Doraemon. Although, like most anime, the references to Japanese culture might alienate viewers. Another good one to watch with children, although a bit old and hard to find, is Galaxy Express 999. Even I like it up to now. It involves a lot of travelling (across planets), and it's fascinating. As well, there's a lesson to be learned in every episode. That's all I can think of for now, I'll post more when I'm not too busy.
