We can get along with only one kidney very well so of course I would donate a kidney to my family. And if a friend needed it and I was compatable, I would donate it. Remeber just because you are all one family does not mean that your kidney would be acceptable for them. This is a costly procedure. Given the chance, I'll be happy to donate my kidney to my parents if ever they will need it. I love my parents very much as well as my brothers and sister.

i would certainly donate a kidney if i was compatible and a family member needed it. no hesitation at all. for that matter if somebody other than family needed a kidney and i was the only one that matched what they needed i would still do it.

Well, if my father's life depended on it and I was his last hope, then hopefully I'd have the courage to do the right thing. I love my parents and I would certainly sacrifice my organ to save them. I just hope I'm in that position where I have to do that. The idea of having someone cut me open and taking a part of myself out kind of creeps me out.
