I have just bought the anniversay edition box set of Oprah's show. I know she has copped a lot of flack over the years but to me she is a wonderful humanitarian and just watching the DVDs, it's amazing how much she's given to people over the years and the wide range of tpoics covered. Not to mention how many physical changes she's gone through. I think she looks much more amazing now she's older. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the DVD's.

Where do you buy the dvd set and how much does it cost?? I would LOVE to have it! Oprah is and always will be a huge insparation for me. I love her!

I bought it from the Virgin store in Myer here in Sydney. It cost something like $54 (Australian) but it's got something like 6 DVD's in it. It's really a "highlights" sort of DVD. It would have been great had some of the interviews been shown in their entirety.

I think she is wonderful too, she has so much compassion and really feels for people with so little, she does a lot of good, some people don't like her I think because she gets paid so much but I think she would probably does a lot of money giving that she doesn't make public.

Hi lilaclady - I think a person who can generate so much money must have some special qualities. She was willing to stand out from the crowd, and tackle things that interest people so she deserves her wealth - and the fact that she gives back so much makes her a great person in my eyes!

Until before few years i didn't know much about her.I first watched her program a summer few years ago when I visit my mother in law at Egypt.I just loved her show.When I came back I try find some episode to download or watch at internet.Lucky me after few months and until know a Greek channel buy her show.She is fantastic and I just admire her.they are many people so famous like her and so rich also but only few helps so much and do so many charities, and the most of them from her personal money.
I just wish they was more people like her.

Being a guy, this is hard for me to admit.lol. But I agree with you. She has done some wonderful things to help others. After seeing a few of her shows recently, for the first time, I have kind of mellowed on my attitude towards her. I have to give her credit for coming such a long way.

Hi Sigma - I can see how her "manner" can be annoying to some guys, but you have to give her credit - she could have just decided to use her money only on herself but she uses her profile and money to bring happiness to other people and that is great.

I seldom watch daytime t.v. But I do like Ophrah Winfrey. She is great at interviewing and dealing with controversial subjects. And I admire her generous nature.
She is VERY wealthy and shares her wealth with those who aren't. She wouldn't have to do that. It is a choice she has made. Other wealthy people could learn a lot from her generosity. Just look what Brittany Spears does with her money! LOL

Yes she is a nice lady and just to add for information she is a very active member of Unicef and has donated a lot to them and is also a very active member of CRY yes the organisation which takes care of underpriviledge children so yes she is a human and yes she has come a long way and i belive she has worked hard for the position she is in so she deserves it everybit and accolades to her from me and will be with her always

I agree with you Oprah is a beautiful person inside and out. I do admire her for what she does and i love her show. She inspires me. I am going to get the DVD this weekend. :-)
