Its so hot here in the philippines and my baby, since she so chubby, sweats a lot. She got rashes from it at areas where her skins fold. What should I do? Does anyone out ther have an idea what should I put to deminish the rashes?

I have alawys used baby powder for this with my children . Baby powder does not only have a nice smell but it is said to keep a baby cool when they are really warm and is said to prevent rashes from occuring as much . Keeping her cool is the most important thing you can do but in hot weather we are not always able to keep things the proper temperature that we would like and although it is quite normal for a baby to get rashes , as parents we don't like when we know our little one's are uncomfortable . I never knew what to do about this either and then one day a friend of mine gave me this tip and I did find it helped a bit . Your baby will still get some rashes but I found it did help to illiminate some of the rashes my little one's were getting . Best of luck !!

I thought powder causes rashes more? I think I've read it in a book.

im keeping my baby cool with cotton sandos, the ones with the tiny holes in it to lessen the heat he's feeling. also i keep him powdered and check if he's sweating from time to time. maybe you can also use baby powder with cornstarch. i think j&j has that variant. rashes can be itchy and your baby will surely be uncomfortable when this happens.
