I've heard many people say they shower both before and after getting into a swimming pool. Then others say they always shower when they get out. Do you do this and why?

You need to shower before going to the pool to wash away the oil in your body, after going out of the pool to wash away the dirt you got from the pool.

THe reason they want you to shower before swimming especially in a public pool is to remove any thing that might come off and mess up the water i.e. deodorant, hairspray, makeup, cologne etc. I don't shower before going in if it is my own pool, but I do with a public pool or someone else's pool, if possible. I do shower afterwards to wash the chlorine and stuff off and wash my hair. I hope that this helps.

When I go to our local pool I always shower before I enter, and again when I leave. I have a quick shower first, mainly to get wet and used to the chill, but I shower in hot water afterwards to remove all traces of the chlorine and other chemicals from the pool.

We can't afford a pool so we use the public one where you shower before you go in. I shower when I get home because my hair is thin and the chlorine damages it; plus the chlorine dries out my skin. I can't wear those silly swim caps, they're too uncomfortable to wear.

Well, I have always Showered after I swim somewhere, and prefer to do it as soon as possible if I can. I have heard there are so many Germs that can linger in a pool and if you are succectable to skin rashes and issues like that like I am, it is best to keep yourself protected afterwards and shower right away to remove the Chlorine and such. I just feel too grouse if I am somewhere swimming and then cannot take a Shower right away after wards.

I think its necessary to get into shower before jumping into the pool and i always do that and the regulation is for public pools mostly its because so many people in their and might be carrying atmospheric disease on their body and might spread in water as other people might be really fragile to germs ,so its always better to do that if not for yourself but for the sake of others.

I don't have a shower before swimming. Usually I will wash my hair and have a shower after swimming.
