I spoke with the Police last night about my stolen money.......

The other day I wrote about how I lost 300.00 well they made an arrest- it was the cashier - The police watched the video tape....she saw the envelope on the counter after I left and slid it behind her and covered it with a plastic bag. Then when i went back after that she denied ever seeing it. When they arrested her she said there was no money in the envelope and that I came back in looking for money not an envelope. The cop said it will go to court now and more then likely she will have to pay restitution to me- how I don't know since she was fired from her job. Well at least I know where it went........SIGH

I remember seeing the discussions you have made about losing all of that money and I even responded to it by telling you that I lost my purse once also. That woman will get what she has coming to her. I cannot believe she lied to you and said she didn't see it and she even hid it for herself. That is awful. You just cannot trust people these days for nothing. I'm glad you found out where it went and I wish you the best in getting your money back when you both go to court. Good luck with it.

Yes you did respond and thank you. I can't believe she stood there and lied right to my face when it was sitting 2-3 feet from me under a bag. She saw how upset i was and did nothing- I even told her that it was my food shopping money for food for the next month and she insisted that someone else picked it up and took it. I was not brought up that way my parents instilled the thought "how would you feel if it happened to you". Guess her parents didn't.

You are very welcome. That was the least I could do for you. that lady could have at least said, well I needed the money also and I didn't think you would come back for it and maybe she might have gotten a finders reward from you or something. I was raised to do the right thing also and to not treat people wrong. I was always told to do unto others as you would have them do unto you, but that rarely happens when it is to be my turn. That lady didn't care about your feelings at all. It seems she only cared about herself.

Thats good that you know what happened to your money. Hopefully they will watch more of the tape to prove she actually took the money out. Some people have a way of getting out of things and I hope that doesn't happen to you. I hope you get your money back soon.

Good thing that there was a camera. The technology sometimes works in our favor. Shame she did not know about that camera. You may have gotten the money in the envelope easier. I hope the courts finds in your favor and that she does indeed pay you. A lesson to be learned. I hope this doesn't happen to you again.

I'm sure she knew about the camera- thats why she slid it off to the side and covered it up...lets hope it works in my favor - I don't have the best of luck- but i will keep my fingers crossed. Thanks.

Oh honey, I am so happy for you. Well no I am not, you know what I mean, I am just happy you found out what happneded with your money. And hopefully it will go to court and she will have to pay it back. You are so smart to have the police look at a video tape. Good idea. I probably would have just been so pissed at myself and never done anything about it other than look and look for it. Keep us posted on what happens at court. Good luck to you.

I almost didn't do that after i went hope after the first time i went back to the store - i called my mom- and then the idea popped in my head while talking to her- I told her i would call her back- then hopped in my car and drove back. And I am still pissed at myself for being so careless...thanks for the luck - i will need it since i have terrible luck.

I think that if she has to make restitution that the case will stay open for 10 years. I am sure that in 10 years she will be able to get a job and pay you back. Good luck on that....

If it was a store maybe the store will pay you back. Most places that handle money you have to get bonded which she has ruined her chance on. Maybe you can make a deal with her. SInce she has ruined her chances at many jobs if she gets charged with thieft. Good Luck. I think you might have her over a barrel.

Wow she looked you straight in the face and lied to you! Imagine working with other peoples money all day, stealing money from a customer and then lying about everything! It is good to hear that the police actually investigated this properly and I am sure that it is a relief to know what actually happened to your money! I just can't understand how some people can live with their conscience! xxx

Oh I'm so glad you found out what happened to it. I'm sure that when it goes to court the judge will see that she tried to hide the envelope and maybe it even shows her taking the money out...I hope. I think she will have to pay you back...how long it will take....well.....don't hold your breath...lol I do feel like you will get it back though. Good luck, even though she was fired I'm sure she will get another job...she must need money...lol
