Ok I have put it under this Interest as I guess it might have been a Family Activity well My Kids and my Ex Husband thought so at the time
My Daughter was 4 and my Son 7
We where in town and as usual my lovely little Girl was not behaving that good as she was not getting her own way, I ignored her for a while and I could see that my Ex Husband was loosing his patience. I did not want a scene with him on the Streets so I told my Girl to behave or I would slap her legs. Well she went quiet. Next thing I hear my Son saying to her "What did you kick me for you evil little Cow" She replied "Because Mummy won't get me that Doll" Next thing I had a full blast row going on behind me between the 2 of them, I turned around and said to my Daughter "If you do not quit right now your Legs will be sore and I mean it" My Son said Mummy ..... and that was as far as he got, I was face to face with a Lamp post and in my Daze I said "Where the bl**dy hell did that come from????
As I am rubbing my Head, my Ex Husband says "I hate to tell you this, but it has always been there" he bursts out laughing. I did not find it funny at all My Son did though. Then I realised my Daughter was not with them 2 and I turn around and she is there kicking the Lamp post, I go over to her and pick her up and she says "There Mummy I kicked it for walking into you" well that was it then both my Son and my Ex are laughing I am standing there stunned still trying to figure out how I managed to walk into a Lamp post and my Daughter a proud smile on her Face, to make it worse a few People saw what had happened and did try politley not to laugh, I just wanted the earth to open up and swallow me
I walked away and tried to hide lol but there was no where to hide. I got angry then and told my Ex it was not that funny and he burst out laughing again and said it was. My Daughter was rubbing my Head lol as a nasty Bump had developed there, To top it all, my lovely Son who has always been a wind mergant and still is says "My Mummy is growing another Brain I think"
Ha ha yes very funny, needless to say I had a right huff on
I am so glad that I managed to entertain my Family so well
I still want to know where that Post came from though
Yes I ended up with a lovely Headache to top it

She reminds me a lot of my Niamh! She thinks it is her sworn duty to attack anyone who upsets me!!!! You really made me giggle here angel and I could visualise all of it! I am also very glad to observe that it is not a new thing - you know with you having all these little a words! Not tempting fate by using that word in front of you ever again! Some things never change huh angel? xxx

Awwwwww, that hurts. I was in York with two of my grandchildren once, as well as their Mum and Dad, and the girl was walking in front of the boy. Of course, the grandchildren were chattering away, and the girl turned round to speak to the boy, beside whom I was walking. I saw the lamp post coming at her, but as I opened my mouth to tell her to watch out, she turned front again, and smacked straight into it.
Since then, she has also driven her bike into one, on the way down to the local shops. The wheel hit the lamp post, tipped forward and she had a cut, bruised and swollen head, as well as nose bleed. They were a bit worried about concussion but gave her the all clear. She did have a sore head for a few days though.
So, Gabs... you're not the only one who has accidents my friend... take no notice of those who stand laughing because these things come back threefold, and they will be revenged. lol. Just don't do it again! :-) xx

Well, now we know that many of your "accidents" and other troubles started long before Gissi came on the scene. It all started with the rogue lamp post that jumped out and attacked you. I am sure the lump on your head has long since gone away but not the memories of the day. LOL

That is so funny! It is also heart warming as well. I was laughing through the whole story, but touched that your daughter was so protective of you! That is just too sweet!

Your daughter is very sweet. How cute is children, despite you are trying to be harsh and discipline them, they are still so innocent and so protecting their mother. Very heart-warming post. I am happy for you, keeping up a lovely family so sucessfully!

You did not know it but Gissi put it there. LOL I sure hate it when the Lord humbles us infront of the whole world to see. LOL.
I can imanage what a headache you had and did the extra brain help you?
The one and only time I tried to roller skate I broke my tail bone. I took my daughter over to some friends home, my daughter was 1.5years old and her daughter was 9 months old. Now what possessed us to go into the street to roller skate that day I do not know. She could roller skate well. I put the skates on and they took off with me in them. They went down a hill, well a small incline. My feet went faster than my bottom did and guess where my bottom landed. Yes in the unforgiving street! I hurt so bad, I was with some other mothers and I had to act like I was fine when I really was hurting so bad.
I went home and laid down. I could not sit, stand, lay or move for weeks on end (ya that is what hurt) LOL.
I never put on a pair of roller skates again.
God taught me a lesson it was: You idiot you are a mother and you are to old to be in street acting like a kid."

I am so sorry but I felt so sorry for you at the beginning then I began to realize that you must have always been prone to accidents pal ,between pavement disappearing and doors suddenly appearing and cupboards mysteriously opening ,
I still think you would be much safer getting someone to make you a bubble wrap suit with a fur trimmed hood lol , hope you are well pal , xx

Mel was so sweet and and your son was so humorous. Lovely children. I know who put the lamp post there. He has been telling you to becareful of the lamp post in a few of his posts on your discussions. He went into the past and put it in front of unsuspecting you.
