I personally doesnt agree with 12% E-vat. They say it helps the economy and it only affects those that are rich. How about the prime commodities which has E-vat on it as well as medicines. I don't think that E-vat helps us because it makes us more poorer. How about you what could you say about this one?.

Of course any new taxes introduced in our society is kind of repulsive and disadvantageous for the citizens. but for me as long as I see were my taxes go is okay. What is really disgusting to know is that the funds gathered from these additional taxes is sometimes nowhere to be seen that is why its so heavy for us to pay it.

I don't fully understand this E-vat thing, and I think most Filipinos find it vague. I saw an interview of Mr. Ralph Recto and somehow I understood that we have paid already a certain percentage of our debts because of E-vat collections ( hope that it's true). That may sound good but to say that the imposition of E-vat could be felt by rich people only as it only applies to the purchases they make, I don't think Mr. Recto is right about that. I think he doesn't realize the burden it gives to most Filipinos because even the basic commodities and medicines are included in the E-vat list. Personally, we felt its effect because our mother has maintainance medicines and we feel that E-vat is not helping as what they say it is. I think E-vat should only be imposed on other not so important items.

I truly agree with you here. I have not voted for Mr. Recto because of that. But my aunt said it helps her business and I don't know in which way she like that thing. Even her phonelines and electric bills were covered by e-vat. And her gasolines as well so I think e-vat should really imposed to rich people only. But sad thing poor people really had a hard time recovering because of this effects in prime commedities and also hospital bills and medicines.

Of course we will disagree, unless you are out of your mind you will agree. You have said it, it makes us poorer because our purchasing power is lessen. You must watch out for the vote of Recto,he is the author of e-vat beware of the magic of dagdag bawas, he might win.

i don't absolutely agree with 12% e-vat,it will only truly helps our economy if there are no corrupt here in our country but sad thing is there are many of them and still counting..somehow this e-vat doesn't affect much to rich people because they have many asstes to live them not unlike poor people where they only rely from their monthly paycheck..
