Are you fascinated with Nature around you or you take it for granted?

This is actually one of the reasons why I love mountain biking. I get to see all those wonderful things nature has to offer. When I go up the mountains, I can see the contrast between ephemeral man-made structures, and the eternal natural wonders. There you can see dark clouds hovering the city, specially on a clear cloudless day. This forbidding scene portrays what is bad in man's nature: abuse of the environment, uncaring attitude towards preservation of precious natural resources and seeming apathy towards the sufferings of other human beings and even animals. But up there also, you can see nature as the Creator meant it to be. Without any man-made structure, you can see the majestic mountain ranges that lined up eons ago, as the mantle of the earth was being formed. You can gaze at the valleys between those great mountains and feel your inadequacy and smallness, yet you feel important because you see yourself as an integral part of this world in constant renewal of itself. There maybe hundreds of structures that man's intelligence has allowed him to create, but they needed to build on something else already in existence. Only God is able to create out of nothing, and no one can top that.

I've grown up in a very rural area and my house is surrounded by woods, so I've always appreciated nature around me. I love when flowers start blooming in the summer and animals start coming out more often. I guess I feel most comfortable when I'm surrounded by trees. Being in the city with so many people and buildings always makes me nervous. I also love being around water, especially. It doesn't matter if it's a river, pond, lake, or the ocean, I just love being near it. I wish I could visit the beach more often, because I find the ocean absolutely amazing.

I love trees...any kind. I love weeping willows and trees that have twisted branches. I like black and white photos of trees. My favorite colors in nature have to be during autumn months. People take for granted the beauty that we see everyday. I like sunsets too.
