I can't believe The Bachelor actually dumped Bevin!

That is the weirdest twist in the Bachelor history that I've ever seen. She was so in love with him. And, I thought he felt the same way. But, of course, I suspected from the beginning that he wanted Tessa to love him. And, when she finally confessed her true feelings, he just brushed Bevin to the side. I mean the Bachelor even said, "I love you" to Bevin on their last date. That is so disingenuous. If you don't really plan on spending the rest of your life with someone, don't give them mixxed signals. I think Bevin was the back up! I mean, just in case that Tessa didn't actually have feelings for Andy, then he would just choose Bevin. Sort of like the consolation prize. That is so not fair. To play with someone's feelings like that. What do you think? Was Bevin just the spare? Or, did Andy ever really love her? How do you think he should have handled it differently. She looked totally heartbroken.

I think you are totally right. Looking back now, I think Bevin was just a back up girl. He really liked Tessa but was afraid that she was not going to open up. So he kept Bevin around so that he would not end up alone. I was telling my mom they have not done a "The Bachelorette" show in awhile. I really think they should bring Bevin back for next season and do "The Bachelorette" I feel she truely did love Andy and she deserves to be able to find her perfect someone.

Oh, I am so on board with Bevin as the Bachelorette idea! I may go to abc.com and nominate her for an upcoming show, if they ever do a Bachelorette. I felt so bad for her, cause I think she totally got sucker punched. He had even said, "I love you!" during their final date. You don't just say something like that to someone if you're not serious. She walked, eyes wide shut, into the final rose ceremony, thinking he was going to propose. And, I know that some people say that she was too clingy. But, sometimes love does that to you. I wonder how it would have worked out in regular life with her, instead of Tessa. Did you hear whether or not Andy and Tessa were really going to get married. I missed part of the ABC follow up special on the Bachelor: After the final rose. Well, Tessa is a sweet person, maybe it will work out. Anyway, I was thinking: this is one case where playing hard to get actually worked out! I guess Andy must have really loved Tessa to let her hang around so long and not reciprocate his feelings. And, he ended up getting what he wanted when she told him that she loved him.

I'm with you. I think I will go to abc.com as well and nominate Bevin too. Maybe we can spread the word and get more people to do the same thing. I really think Bevin would do good and could find her true love.

I think that Bevin was just a bit too open with her emotions. Andy said on the After Show that he liked having to chase Tessa. It seemed like Bevin was already going on (and on) about how much she liked Andy very soon after they met. I also think it bothered him that she was married before. I don't remember any other bachelor telling one of the women that he loved them. After he told Bevin he loved her I thought for sure he was going to pick her. Then he said it to Tessa and I was like.. man, this guy is a real jerk. Up until that point in the show I was thinking he seemed like one of the most sincere bachelors that they have had on the show. I really wish he would have refrained from saying "I love you" to anyone until he made his final pick. I did feel bad for Bevin. I do think she really loved him. I think Andy was very attracted to her.. but I don't think he loved her. I think her wild streak was very attractive to him but I think deep down he was pretty conservative and she wouldn't be the type of girl he would marry. The show is about keeping the girls you had the biggest connection with. I think the final two girls did have the strongest connection with Andy. It is unfortunate one girl always ends up getting her heart broken but that is just how the show goes.

So well said! And, I agree you with 100%! Early on Bevin formed an attachment to Andy because of the way he was so kind to her when she hurt her ankle, and then he gave her the watch. I guess she thought it was courting behavior, and I think it was just his way of being a gentlemen. I felt the same way when he whispered, "I love you." in her ear. I'm not sure if he knew that the camera or microphone would pick it up, but it did. Maybe he never planned for anyone to hear that publicly. It doesn't make him look all that good. Of course, I'm happy that he ended up with someone that he feels he loves. But, now that the chase is over, he's going to have to form a real relationship away from the camera and lights. That won't be so easy! Thanks for your post.

Runner up Bevin with "The Bachelor"-Andy - This is Bevin who was rejected by Andy during this season of the Bachelor.
I was surprised that Andy chose Tessa in the end, I really gathered that he cared for and loved Bevin. There were many rose ceremonies where I thought he was actually gonna eliminate Tessa, as he had mentioned a few times that she just didn't seem into things.

Im rather glad he picked Tessa. She is way better for him, and is way more his type, and classy. Bevin was nothing more then trailer trash and would never measure up to him.
