If terrorists checked out Mylot they would be quite confused. They would think that people all over the world have nothing better to do than ask each other if they prefer Coke or Pepsi and what their favorite color is.

There are good people and evil people everywhere, but I don't think that any discussions on MyLot would really interest anyone who is planning a terror attack. Realistically, all of our discussions are pretty much common knowledge. It's not as if we're discussing top-secret or sensitive material here. We're discussing ideas and opinions- the same ideas and opinions that the general public in any part of the world shares. I don't think that terrorists would be too interested.

It is certainly possible that they could come in here and read our discussions and possibly get more ideas. It is probably not likely they would do this since they are always plotting and planning more attacks and more evil acts. They probably would not want to come on here.

It would not surprise me but I would think that they could find better places to be so that they could get more info.

You have brought up a great discussion. In my opinion, if terroorists have access to the interent. Than they have the capibility to come in here and read our posts. Is it snooping? No not really becaus eyou post in a forum. Than you make it public for anyone to read. Even terrorist. WE have members from all different walks of life. So I can see having members that do not like the nation you or I live in. Or our current president. But than again..I don't like the current president of the country I live in. So why should I expect someone else to?

do you think the federal government comes in here and snoops in our posts? do you think they post positive things about our president or nation? Of course they do! The bad guys and the good guys are everywhere.

Hmmm. I think when you get into this sort of debate, you might as well ask whether mass-murderers research techniques by asking questions on crime, and whether thieves or fraudsters do the same. When you start getting into a paranoia-ville mindset, you start to get into dangerous territory as regards the freedom of ideas and speech. Just because a person has a certain opinion, that doesn't mean that they're a criminal or even a potential criminal. Suspicion and mob-mentality go hand-in-hand with this sort of speculation, and it's important for people not to get into that mindset. Leave those questions to the intelligence services, because idle speculation and suspicion on the grounds of opinions expressed, can do a lot of damage.

How do you define a terrorist? Last I looked the definition in the dictionary was vague enough so that either you or I could be one and we could simply dislike our government. Some police manuals and the patriot acts support that too. It's a crazy world we live in. A terrorist I'd define as..someone who causes harm for personal gain, and has immoral actions against the people of any nation..usually for political ends via torture and intimidation. That'd be a more accurate defintion, not to confuse with people who dislike our government, read or talk about New World Order as a subject, or endorse any one religion. Sure, there are good guys and bad guys everywhere. And guys who aren't really either of them..but I don't think you have to worry about what one reads on the internet. Later maybe you will, but for now..*shrugs*
