Panasonic DMRE50 remote - country code problem

Hi
Changed the country code by error using the menu. Now remote won't let the on screen menu come up to change it back to DVD1. Any ideas? Tried turning off the DVD but no help. Any way of re-setting to factory, then at least I can start from scratch.
