My desktop is not working....

I think it's mainly about the CPU. It just won't start. It's been over a month and I still haven't had it fixed yet. I wonder what the real problem is. I try to turn it on but it would just give out a one time red blink (like when you restart it) and then it's out. It makes me really irritated now. Can anyone help? Suggest something? Anything?

Sounds like it could be the motherboard. Typically if the computer will start up and you don't get the post start up "beep", the first suspect is the motherboard.

Maybe you should check the power cord. It may have been fried and you should also check for loose cables at the back. But be careful and turn off the power before checking anything.

I've tried checking for loose cables at the back but it really won't start working. And I don't know which cable got "fried" cos it has a lot of cords at the back.
