Help with pc, internet, not sure what the heck is going on!

Most of the time I log into mylot using firefox and it takes logs me right in because I don't log off. That way I don't have to remember my password and go through the whole log in process. When I click on my star I don't see the rating numbers that everyone sees on theirs so I thought if I logged in using my ie browser it might make a difference. My problem is that when I put my screen name and password in, which I know is correct because I do have it written down, it always comes up as failed log in. I've clicked on the link to send me my log in information and I don't receive it in my email. Can anyone tell me if it's something with my pc or is it the ie? Any suggestions before I get the hammer out? lol...thanks in advance.
