were young? when you got married? We had girls names picked out both times that we got pregnant, but oddly enough, we didn't pick out any boys names...we just didn't like any of the boys names that were out there at the time...Fortunately for us, both of our children are girls...whew! how about you? whats your story?

As a teenager I wrote a list of girls names that I liked. I find boys names hard because they are either kiddie boy names or adult boy names. Do you know what I mean. Some boys names sound great on a kid but what will it sound like as an adult? And vice versa. Can you really call a wee baby Henry? LOL! What is funny is that one of my top girls names I didn't even use until my second daughter was born. I'm not sure what caused me to use a name that wasn't even on my list for my first daughter. I don't know where I got the name, or the spelling, at all. But my second daughter, she has both names that were on my list. Sorry, but I prefer not to mention my daughter's names on here. I haven't a clue what boys names I had picked as a teenager. I know the names we went through when I was pregnant. Oh, wait a minute, I did have boys names and my husband didn't like any of them. Good thing we didn't have boys then. Though I would have had the final say anyway. LOL! He never said anything about the girls names I picked. In fact, he actually told people the WRONG name when my second daughter was born. 'Course he gets everyone's name wrong. LOL!

i started a list at some point in my late teens. I didn't want kids right there and then, but I knew that i wanted a family with kids one day. so i collected names, if i heard a name i liked i'd add it to the list. With all our kids we went over my lists and picked boy and girls names since we didn't know what we were having. Our third child is coming in july, finally a boy.

When I was younger I named my boy baby doll Michael. I don't remember any of the girls names. When I started dating my husband which I was in high school I would say Anastasia and the boys name would be after his father which would be Leonard. Then when I got pregnant which was 7 years after high school. We picked the name Katie for a girl and the boy was still going to be named Leonard. We are pregnant again and decided on Sara because its another girl.

I had known for a little while what I would name a boy or a girl. I had picked out Olivia Grace and it was a tie for a boy. Tyler or Zachary for a first name, and since his dad's father had passed away a long time ago, we decided to use his name as the middle name for a boy. We did have a boy who is wonderful and now 6. His name is Zachary, and it's a perfect fit!

well, we planned my first born's name when i was pregnant believing she/he was a boy..then it turned out she's a girl so what we did was turned the boy's name on a girl's name and viola she has a name..the second one was planned on purpose because we had an ultrasound so we knew all along that she's going to be a girl

My wife and I started throwing names around as soon as she got pregnant. We had one girls name and one boys name picked out, and it changed several times along the way, until we came up with two names that we loved, and didn't feel like changing in further discussions.

well, most of my friends are just like you muscare. they think of so many possible names for their babies and slowly scratches out others as they select down to the botton favorite.

Yes, when we came up with a name we thought we liked, the next day, or time we thought about it, we'd come up with a reason or maybe a memory as to why we didn't like the name!

When I found out that I was pregnant my husband and I had our girls name picked out from day one which was Kayla Jewel. When we found out that we were haveing a boy of course we could not agree on anything. I think it was the week that I was going to be induced that we decided on Rylan Treize. I picked out the first name which I found on the internet on day and then dreamed about calling a little boy in our home rylan so I was pretty insistant on the name after that. My husband picked out his middle name.
