I just read an article which I will link to below, and it sounds as if that's the final curtain call for Charlie. I really like dhis character, and I think he's grown quite a bit. But at least he got to go out a hero right? And he's got Kate by his side in real life, who could ask for more. Jack and Sawyer are out of luck. Let's all take a moment of silence for good old Charlie .....:) http://www.tvguide.com/News-Views/Interviews-Features/Article/default.aspx?posting=%7B10F0A8C6-0C7C-49AF-BE6A-699645887B94%7D

wow. i didnt know that charlie and kate are real-life lovers. ^__^ on the other hand, im really sad that charlie is going to die and is not going to be seen in the next Lost season. i thought desmond "saw" him drowning and not being killed by the eye-patched guy...

I take it you didn't see the episode. He did drown, the eye-patch guy blew up the window with a grenade, flooding the room Charlie was in.

Pout! I'm sad. I'm also sad that Jacks life is such a mess now that he is off the island. I feel bad for Claire. I thought Hurley was awesome. I just wonder if they will ever really answer any questions. It reminds me alot of the show Twin Peaks tht was on like 15 years ago. You would keep watching it but no one ever really understood it. In that aspect they are alot a like. I was so so happy to see they didnt shoot the 3 who stayed back to set the trap. I think Lock will turn into the next Ben. Crazy stuff. They sure do have us on edge waiting for next season!

This is true, but he also told the doc to get his dad down from upstairs to see who's drunker. It's all a mystery to me !!

Phooey!! I like Charlie! I was really hoping he wasn't going to die. That's too bad. Thanks for the link to the story. I guess that answers that question at least?

I had to search it out for myelf. I am anal retentive like that. I figured if he was really going to be gone, there would be some sort of interview somewhere.

Ah, poor old Charlie. He will just have to have Kate console him. Somehow I never figured those two as a match in real life! I agree that with him being 'fated' to die, it was coming soon and we all knew it. He had already lasted a couple of episodes longer than I thought he would. I wonder what will happen with Claire now?

yea, I feel bad for Claire, she was just beginning to really trust Old Charlie. I was wondering, in the past we've seen bot Locke and Desmond take interest in CLaire, maybe she'll end up with one of them.

Yeah, I read that same article. But, I new it was going to happen. It sounds like they might bring his character back for flashbacks or "visions" (like they did Ana Lucia). And, you're right about Kate, she really is dating him.

I read somewhere that he is indeed gone. It is very sad that he is gone and the reason why they decided he had to go. I don't see why they just did not get rid of Desmond instead of Charlie.

And I as well. I think he was great in Lost and LOTR , I am sure he will be great in whatever he decides to do.

Well apparently they thought his character had gone as far as he could with his story line. And the actor, Dominic, said he wanted to get back into movies.

I knew Charlie was going to die. They had to kill him once Desmond started haveing the flashes. It just seemed that it had to come true otherwise we wouldn't believe any more of Desmond's flashes. I did like him for the most part. He was a whiney little follower at one point, but he was gowing as a person and a character. Maybe he got a job in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit and has to go put on his big feet again. Ah well, sorry Charlie....

Sadness! Poor claire, but way to go charlie, going out as a hero. (ALthough I still dont see how the creators/producers didnt think that millions of fans would just say to their tvs "Desmond OPEN THE DOOR and you and charlie swim out!!" I guess Desmond and Charlie both get to be heroes, if Des can get back intime.

Well the call has already been made. I have a bad feeling about that boat, especially after Charlie's message to Desmond.

I am going to take the unpopular view, I am glad he is gone. I felt his character got pretty whinny as the season went on and am glad he is gone. I thought they did a good job wrapping up his character in the next to last episode. Here's to Charlie, long live Charlie.

LOL It's perfectly ok not to like him, as I am sure he probably didn't like you either ! LOL I personally can't stand Jack right now, he is driving me nuts. He's never been one of my favorites anyway. He always acts so tortured and hurt.

Poor Charlie! They've been threatening to kill him off for a long time. I'm glad he got to go out a hero.

It is sad that Charlie had to go, but if they stretched it out with more of Desmond telling him he was going to die, it'd get pretty boring after a while. He definitely did go out a hero though, which is good for him, but I hope that Claire finds the ring before they get off the island.

I was hoping she would find the ring as well. It would be a shame for her not to. It is sad though, she has been through all that mess in her life, and she finally found someone good in Charlie, now he's gone.

What I'm wondering is what it will do to the relationship (supposedly they are engaged) between Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lily. She will still bing working in Hawaii and he will probably be off elsewhere with other work. So many of those "Hollywood" pairings have short lives anyway without long separations because of work.

I guess that's something they will have to work out.
