'I have been smoking for a couples of years and, some of my friends have given me some good sugguestions and i have smoked less frquently these days when i am at home.I think i can quit it soon:)) I just like to know what you guys think about smokers' Are you a smoker? When someone beside you is smoking, will you try to stay away from them cover your nose with your hands while walking,or even tell them not to smoke if it is in a area which smoking is not permitted?Do you think smokers do not look nice when they are puffing the smoke into the air? Will you be turned off if a handsome guy/pretty lady is smoking? Do you think they will look nicer if not smoking? Will you accept your partner who have smoking habit? Will you ask him/her to quit? Have you ever kissed someone who is a smoker? What did you feel? May be I also have to ask my ex-boyfriend how did he feel when he kissed me.:P I think every one include all the smokers know the problems about smoking,I hope we can quit smoking soon:)

I don't smoke, I have never smoked &, honestly, kissing a smoker is like licking an ashtray - not fun.

I'd not ask my partner to quit smoking because i can't stand the smell but I'd ask her to quit for her wellness that is more important than the smell.. however I don't think that quitting smoke makes you more beautiful or something like that.. Then you are yet a very beautiful girl..

i can definitely tell the difference in women as they get older and smoke. i am a stylist, and i see a variety of ages of women and men. for some reason it makes women appear older and wrinkly more than men. If i were you-i would never again smoke! In your picture you look young, and you still have time to stop that habit before its too late. Besides making you look bad, and smell bad, its your health you should really be worried about!!!

I quit smoking two months ago and can honestly say I think I look better. I certainly feel better now. My partner never minded me smoking but he is happier now I've quit. My hair and clothes don't smell of smoke any more and the house smells fresher too. Oh yes, and my love life is definitely better *wink*

Smoking does not hamper your look but yes it is true that smoking will definitely shorten your life span. SO it is always better not to smoke at all. Leave this habit and try to live as long as possible in this earth and enjoy the every moment of your life.

Why people like to smoke in the first place, with all the knowledge of how much it can destory you, is beyond me? I have seen too many of my own family die at the hands of cancer caused from smoking, I wish to not see anymore.

Quitting smoking is not much of a problem. I helped many people do it. Since I study neuroscience, I know what happens in your body while smoking, and I recomend certain things that would make not smoking easy. About your questions - I do not smoke. I hate when someone smokes besides me, and I wouldn't get close (to say the least kiss) someone who smokes - it is like kissing an ash tray (pardon my speach, but you must admit it is the truth). I tend to ask people to stop smoking beside me, and I make sure they know it disturbs me, because it is. I am glad you are willing to quit smoking. It is healthier and much sexier too not to smoke... ;)

Yes. I've been counseling for quite some time with much success - with smoke quitting as well as other issues. I learned one thing for certain - if you don't try, you will never succeed...

Personally, I don't prefer people smoking in my presence. Also being in the domain of Lung Cancer detection, I make it a point to advice one and all to quit smoking as fast as possible. Just see the simple statistics: Just in US alone 600,000 people die of Lung Cancer with around 500,000 being smokers. I know most smokers keep saying, it won't happen to me till it becomes too late!! Also, I have read articles that smoking also affects your looks. This is due to a primary reason that smoking burns away fat, but not in an uniform manner, so you might just end up with jutting cheek bones, though your tummy has excess fat!! Fortunately, my life partner shares my passion against smoking, so I did have to experience that in personal life. As far as watching people smoke, I keep telling them the message as it is in my avatar: "We all share the same air - Thank you for not smoking" Cheers! Ram

Some women believe that smoking can help them to reduce the fat,it is true to some extent, but just like you say it may not have done this in an even manner.

The best quote that I have read in this regard is: Smoking reduces weight... One Lung at a time... That statement summarizes how smoking reduces weight :) Cheers! Ram

Hello easy888 I am so sorry have to tell you this, but I don't like to see a girl smoking. The point is I don't like to see someone smoke. I have some some allergic with smoke LOL. For me, beautiful girl who smoke will be a little bit had a negative rating on my mind. And you will be look much better if your not smoking. Smoke is bad for your skin, teeth and health. At least we can keep our skin, teeth and health in a better condition if you are not smoking. I will very happy to know that you are stop smoking. God bless you *angel www.beautycosmetictips.com

I think so. What are the affects of smoking. After all it is another form of pollution. I have not heard even one benefit of smoking related to health. With smoking, we will be inhaling smoke every time we smoke. It will directly go to longs and may be to other parts of the body. That way our body will get affected in various ways. I think that this smoke will affect one's complexion, can darken the lips, can dry up vital parts of the body etc. And you know the other more serious hazards over the long run. Because of the above, we will not look healthy, relaxed and easy over the longer run. For good health, one should depend on fruits, lot of natural drinks, raw vegetables, juices etc. Smoking will definitely affect the looks of a person over the longer run. In addition it will make ones' pockets lighter.

I am sorry. I did not mean public pollution. I meant pollution within one self, inside one's body. Public pollution was not in my mind at all. I know you will not be doing that.

Unfortunately I have been smoking for a very long time. Twice I have tried to give up. Once was many years ago when i tried the nicobate chewing gum. As I don't like chewing gum of any kind, I soon gave this up. About 11 years ago, I tried the nicotene patches. This worked for 6 months, but then my husbands terminal cancer became really bad, & I started smoking again.

hi easy888. i am also a smoker and i also hope to quit soon. it causes many health problems as you are surely aware of. i have noticed that i am really starting to get out of breath easily and when i have a cold i can't hardly breathe at all. i honestly don't know why we do this to ourselves, what i do know is it's very hard to quit. everyone i have ever dated has been a smoker so i haven't had to worry about someone accepting me for that reason and i'm sure they didn't taste it when we kissed as they were also a smoker. i honestly don't think it affects the way we look, i don't worry about what other's think because i'm me and either love me or leave me, ya know. i wish you luck in quitting. have a wonderful day=)
