Why do we need friends in life?

Why do we need friends in life. Are friends more important tha family. can friends be part of family.

My friends are a big part of our family. We do not have any blood family that live close by so we usually only get to see them maybe once every two weeks or so. Our friends are very close to us and we have them over almost every night of the week to eat dinner all together!!

We do need friend. But not all of our friend can be part of family. Because nowadays it's difficult to find a really good friend because most of them are always pretend to be friend with you. But if you find really good friend there is no reason to refuse them to be part of your family.
