Hello all...I have a 6 year old son who is finishing Kindergarten this year. I try to get him to bed btwn 7:30 and 8:00. What time do you put your child to bed? Do you change bedtime in the summer?

I have 2 kids aged 7 and 9 and their bedtime is a very strict 8:30 PM. During the Summer months I loosen up a little and don't really have a set bedtime and they are usually up till about 9:30-10...they are pretty good at going to bed themselves when tired.

Thanks for the comments. I dont think I could let him stay up til 10pm, cause I need my time to after a long, hot summer day with a 6 year old. Although, I suppose your kids keep each other occupied pretty well. Since I only have the one child, its all me all the time.

I have an almost 3 year old and a 8 month old. MY youngest is usually in bed anywhere from 7:00-7:30 p.m. for the night, the oldest goes to bed at 8:00 every night. (except on church nights) We don't plan on adjusting their bedtimes for summer, but they are not in school either. I think it would depend on how tired they wake up in the summer, if I would adjust thier shcedules or not, because I wouldn't want grumpy kids all day. I'd much rather they go to bed at a decent time, then them be grumpy!
