i agree that clerics are weak in the second job advancement, but they get some nice skills for 3rd and now 4th job!! like, reviving teammates and stuff also, if ur short on cash, healing urself can be pretty useful

I'd tried being a cleric before, but I got bored of it. Healing isn't my thing.

Spearmen is the hardest thing to reach but its worth it.If you love MS and if you like to do the most dmg this is for you. Of course the path of the spearman is VERY hard.First you fight in short range do 100-200 dmg until lvl 30.Get the 2nd job raise the other skills get better, have the most manna of all warriors, help your party with skills. But the 3rd job rules. After many fights you can use the "dragons roar" skill, get even better party def. skills and stuff, but like i said: This path is hard - but good at the eng ;)

No one likes sins. Everybody knows they do godly damages early on and they just own up every monster around them but they are famous for KSing. No one likes KillStealers. I mean even if you don't sins have that reputation. Especially dexless sins. I would say cleric would be good since later on you can be reach due to the fact that you don't need any HP potions because you can just heal =). Spearman is good generally. Nice damage, good skills. Although their hyperbody is not really the best thing anymore but still it's good. Personally depending on how well you are funded, I'd make a choice on that. I mean I got lvl 45 Hunter on Mardia and it's so hard to get money because hunters use up lots of money T_T. Unless you have 100million mesos+ I'd recommend a cleric of a spearman.

I can't really give much of my opinion because there are a lot of argument as to which is better to make. I think choosing to what you want your character depends on you because as for me, either of those jobs can make you stronger as compared from your previous job.

cleric's make money later on and almost always get into a party guaranteeing exp and some rewards, spearmen are solely for solo play and maybe once in awhile some pq, after you're level 100 you can find yourself a priest and level like crazy, permabeginners are boring after awhile

If you wanna become a permabeginner, you might need to be well-funded. A sin is generally easy fast leveling. A cleric is wanted in parties, and can also level pretty fast if you train on undead monsters, like jr. wraiths, zombies, and wraiths. A spearman would probalby be more for beginners of Maplestory, since they are easy to use and have more hp (harder to die). I think the best option would be to go with a sin, which I personally beelive is the funnest job.

I'm a level 116 ranger is Broa GMS. Wow you are making a new character.. How well are you funded with your character? If you have 100mil+ you could try dexless sin or otherwise make a cleric for making money!!! Spearman are cool but they are only good up to 3rd job. One word of advice. Don't do PermaBeginner!!!
