Do you find it is acceptable to reuse stuff to give as gifts? What if you recieve something that doesn't appeal to you but you know someone else who would absolutely LOVE it? Do you do this? Whats your thoughts?

i think that it would be ok, concidering if the item that was given to you you definitly werent going to use, i couldnt see why the item would have to go to waste so to speek. The person who gave you the item mey be offended if the situation isnt explianed by you and they find out by a third party so you would have to be careful not to upset or offend the giver if that person was someone inportant to you.

I think if you get a gift that you don't want, why not give it to someone who would want it? I wouldn't want to hurt the gift givers feelings though, so maybe give it to someone they don't know.

Never done it. Not for a present because I don't want to get someone something which has been used before. No offence to those who do but I feel it might be a bit tacky for myself and I see no harm in first buys. However this could easily change. ~Joey

I would do it carefully. If I knew it wouldn't insult the person. But there is always E-bay if you get something you don't like.

Usually I will not do that. i did once though. We got two identical pasta machines for christmas. My partners sister wanted one but did not get one. We gave her one of ours for her birthday shortly after christmas. I do not see the harm in that - but I do not think it is nice to regift all the stuff one gets.

I already offered some perfumes the were given to me and that were given to the person that gave them to me. Since I only use one type of perfume the others were just siting in my desk so I offered then to someone that would probably use it. I think it is an wise idea but it also depends on the type of gift you are re-gifting.
