how to stop my daughter chatting online

can anyone say how to stop her chatting all day long. i afraid she might end in trouble. moreover i dont want to hurt ot embarrass her by behaving harsh. can anyone guide me thru this

Take the modem and only have it hooked up when she has your permission to be online.

i do know the time and she does ask permission for tht, but still i feel i cant talk freely about the bad part of chatting. still i did talk some sense today hope it works

Take the mouse, the keyboard whatever you have to. Too bad if she thinks you are harsh or you hurt or embarrass her. Remember you are her parent, not her friend. It's your responsibility to keep her safe. There are many child molesters out there, imagine how awful it would feel if something tragic happens to her because you were worried she might get upset. Give her a time limit and make sure your computer is where you can see it and check on who she is talking to.

i do watch over and know her password but still dont have the dil to address this issue to ask her to stop and do something worth while
