How gross is that? I checked on my 2 year old awhile ago and he was fast asleep. He goes to sleep early because he isn't much for naps and has lots of energy..lol. So I just went to check on him again and his room STINKS! How is that even possible to poo in your sleep? gross! Now I have a yucky diaper to change..lol

Wow, well if he doesn't use the loo before he goes to bed, then it will happen. Eh, it is gross, but it is something natural, now worms in the poo would be gross to me, yuck! In fact, one myLotter was writing about her neighbor had white worms in her vomit and poo. I didn't know what it was as I have had nothing like that before. I found out that they are pin worms through searching with bingo.com and that it's high contagious. Therefore, it must have been nasty to smell, but trust me there are FAR worst things in life. Pablo

OMG that is gross Pablo! Worms?! Yup, that's worse..lol!! Well he isn't potty trained. I'm just suprised you can even poo in your sleep. lol. Maybe I don't understand the poo cycle. I figured you had to be awake to poo. lol. The worms thing is just nasty. I think I threw up in my mouth (no worms though) lol

Yea, you are right, well babies do poo at night, at least my nephew has before, and he is only 14 months. I think it would be normal for your child as well. Pablo

When my oldest was 2 he did that EVERY NIGHT! I swear I had to give him a shower every morning. He would only poop when he was asleep for the longest time, at night and during naps.

I think its something about being able to relax and let go.

: ) lol... Must be possible- he did it- YUK.. Are you potty training him yet? I thought they said boys start later than girls- I hope he doesn't do this often- I remember my daughter waking up with a poopie diaper once in a while- so it must happen!

Not really, I ask him casually if he wants to try the potty, and usually it's no, on the rare occasions he says yes, he will sit on it for a couple of mins and not do anything, but it's a start!! i hope he doesnt do it often either, but he didnt poop yet today, yuck

That is the worst!! My son did that last week though, I went in his room to check on him and it smelled terrible so I knew he had dropped a load. I didn't want to leave it on him while he slept though so I said a little prayer that he wouldn't wake-up and I changed him really quick in his bed. And he didn't wake-up!! I was shocked!! I can't imagine pooping in your sleep either, that is just weird, but I guess with babies it is different =)

Some kids can only poo when they are sleeping. I have one that was so "attached" to what was in her body that she refused to poo at all. The doc told me to give her prune juice twice a week and she would have no choice but to let go, she would still hold it in all day long but when she went to sleep and her body relaxed she didn't have control to hold it in. I don't know how many bedsheets I went through with her lol. Air freshener was a staple in my house lol.

At least it is a diaper. I had one once that pooped in her undies and it wasnt very solid if you know what i mean lol and i had to clean her up well acually had to throw her into the tub and strip her bed and scrub off her mattress. She has only ever did it that one time. and i always thought there were 2 things that you couldnt do in your sleep sneeze and poop. i was wrong.lol Good Luck

i guess it IS possible, since your boy has just done it! mine hasn't done that since he was a baby baby...he's 3 now, and fully potty-trained, and no accidents. but i wonder if your lil one maybe didn't poo much thru the day today, and finally calmed down and it just happened. OR has he been feeling ill? when they're young like that, and say he has diarhea (sp?), he's not sure how to control it. and if he's still in diapers, (or even just in diapers overnight), it may have just released. poor lil guy, and poor you for the clean-up...oh so fun, sorry girl!!
