why is it wrong to commit suicide?

There seems to be a double standard here! If you shoot your self and die quickly its suicide, but if you chain smoke for 20 years and die slowly of lung cancer its ok! Whats the difference here? Is it because the government makes huge profits from the tobacco tax? Its ok to kill yourself slowly, but wrong to kill yourself quickly! What do you think?
