What is the first thing you will look for when you are searching for your computer? Will you look for the design, specifications, functions or others?

I build my own computers, and the things I look for the most is choosing the parts that best fit my needs. I look for compatibility with my existing hardware, and whether or not components can be reused in the new build. I also check on whether or not it makes more sense to reuse a component or go to a newer technology. Mainly I try to go for the fastest and newest components that are available at the time so that when the build is complete then it is good for several years.

Hello Titaniumsoul, Interesting question! I first look for processor speed, and sufficient memory. Of course, as the internet grows and expands, so does the need for a good quality graphics card. It also has to have sufficient ports to accept all my peripherals, and I like to make sure that there are sufficient expansion slots for added memory. That way the computer can grow with my needs. Design is about the last of my considerations. Although, I do need to make sure that the tower will fit in my credenza. So, I guess design is important, too.
