School Days Are Here Again

It is just a matter of a few days more and classes will start all over the country, in our beloved Philippines. I wonder if parents prefer to prepare everything before classes has started or whether they will wait for the teachers to give the list of things to buy before going to the school supplies store. I used to play within the middle. I will buy some notebooks, a pad of paper, a school bag, some ballpens and pencils plus erasers and rulers long before classes start. Then I will add more once the teachers shall have given their required stuffs for the children to have. Do you think that this will still be a wise move to adopt?

As a practice most parents especially mothers would buy the needed school supplies ahead to avoid crowded buying stations. Only the needed quantity are bought and some extra paper pads, bond papers, ballpens & pencils. Other required school stuffs are just bought upon the specification of the teacher.

it is wise to avoid the rush. indeed i agree with you, lyndee, that the common things that are needed in school are best bought in advance.

when i used to be a student,i buy some stuffs ahead of time before classes started. i always want to some things before school starts. i don't know why. but i love it when i feel prepared when going to school. some things are ballpens, pencils, and few notebooks. then i then wait for the teachers' requirements then i go to the bookshop and buy them all at once.

it is good that you are concientious about preparations for school needs. most students leave it to the parents to decide which tings to buy first while the teacher has not given any list yet of things which are must buys. even must buys are even for the parents to secure as the children will just simply pass them on to the parents. it the children will do it by themselves, it will be a good thing as the children are learning how to secure needed things by themselves. i consider this to be part of a good training for children. that's why it is good to bring the kids along when buying things for them.

I would say to continue this practice because most kids won't get everything as they are supposed to. If you have to much, you can always use it for yourself.

It's a wise move to buy just a few things before the regular classes. Because if you bought several notebooks and things, you might spend more money if you have bought the wrong things for a particular subject. So I think your action is good... ;)

it is good to hear from you, greyh. it is indeed wise to buy some things which will be needed right from the start of the classes. all the rest can be bought as may be needed soon after.
