Do you fall asleep easily?

Sleeping like a baby - Do you sleep like a baby?

Are you the type who falls asleep one minute after hitting the sheets, or while sitting on a chair watching TV? Or maybe the type who spends half the night tossing and turning, messing up the bed, doing special rituals before finally dozing off? Sometimes I can't sleep easily even without the lights on and just the lamp turned on. I'm just lying there with eyes open wide, with thoughts running in circles. There is an old saying that maybe someone is thinking of you that particular night. Sweet. But then again, maybe it's just the steak you had at dinner that's having trouble being digested in your tummy. How about you? Do you have trouble sleeping or do you sleep like a baby?

i sleep like a baby :) most of the time but when i get interrupted in the middle of the night, i alreay have troubles sleeping again. i think i sleep really straight at night because of my schedule. i wake up at around 6-6:30 and my day begins right away. i don't have any idle moments during the day so i get tired. i have a routine that i should be in bed by 1030 to maximize my sleeping time. when i have to go home late, like during saturdays, i sleep a little longer to compensate for my late sleeping time.

i envy people like you. i hope that someday i will be able to enjoy these good sleeping hours at night. that 8 straight hours of good sleep is something which i have not experienced yet. as far as i can remember, a good 5 hours straight sleep is rare but it happens sometimes. these the the days when i will feel excellently good and up about.

You're really lucky to have a normal sleeping habit. I wish mine could be more like your pattern. Oftentimes I sleep very late and wake up very late too. I don't know when I will be able to regain my balance consistently. Thanks for sharing!:)

It must really be hard for you. I had a hard time sleeping too when I lost my uncle to cancer 15 years ago. It's hard to cope, but then I'm sure wherever your dad is today, he wants you to be at peace and rest both your mind and body so as not to put your health at risk. I hope you get back to your usual sleeping habit the soonest. Goodluck and take care. :)

I fall asleep easiest when the television is on. Especially when Bush is giving the State of the Union.

Before it was my problem I can hardly get sleep that was when I have more stress and I can't manage my emotions when there's a quite problem that really bothered me. But now since I already know how to cope up with my stress and I can esially manage my feelings anout problem I can say it is really a nice relief to me coz I can easily sleep now even the tv is on.

I have no probem to fall in sleep unless it's too noisy. It dooes not bother me even the light is on for the entire night. It won't take to long for me to fall in sleep . It's true if you having your dinner too late at eight or nine o'clock will lead to difficulty to fall in sleep due to the undigested foods in your stomach .Thefore i always try to eat before seven to avoid from this problem .

It's just the same with me! And I live next to a cross-roads, and it's very noisy when a tram or a bus brakes before the red light!

I always fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and NEVER fell asleep doing anything else, however two nights ago while being on the computer, I fell asleep on the keyboard and had square key imprints on my nose, that hurt! I guess I was more tired then I thought! Ha ha ha ha!

Lol! You must be really tired. I thought it only happens in the movies. Guess it took a while before the imprints were off. Take care next time. :) Thanks for sharing!

The time that's easiest for me to fall asleep is when I'm reading, especially for exams. All I need to do is grab a book, and I'm off.

I take forever to fall asleep. Sometimes I spend hours lying there waiting for something to happen. Usually, it takes well over an hour, maybe two to finally drift off. Other nights, during those extreme cases, it takes forever to finally fall asleep. Sometimes I even have problems staying asleep.

It's best to know the reason why you have trouble getting sleep. Sleep is a luxury nowadays that we can't afford to give up. Hope you sleep better soon. Thanks for sharing! :)

It's better to be someone who's easy to wake up than the one hard to wake up. It comes handy when there's an emergency, don't you think? Thanks for sharing! :)

I can't remember the last time when I have a long and peaceful sleep. It feels like ages, LOL! Since having my two little girls, sleep always delude me. I tend to exhaust my mind and body before hitting the bed. I'm a night owl. My sleeping schedule is very erratic too. No specific time really. I have this unusual habit of napping when I'm staying in the car while someone is driving for me.

My five year old daughter sleeps with me and I can't make her sleep when she knows I'll be staying a little bit late. So she often sleeps the same time as me. I have to train her to sleep early again as classes will soon start and it's really hard to wake her up!

Sleep is my greatest weakness and frustration, I can never fall asleep quickly I would sometimes be just half asleep and toss and turn all night. This is detrimental for my job sometimes since I am a teacher. I want to sleep quickly so even if Im sleepy I dont take coffee which keeps me away for two days straight.

I guess it's the lesson plan that keeps running through you head that keeps you awake most of the time.:) Sometimes, I bring my work to sleep and it's a sure sleep buster. Thanks for sharing!

It depends on.Not every day I fall asleep easily. If I'm so tired that day,I will be easy to fall asleep;but if I'm so activity that day, falling asleep is so misable to me.Just the same as you, when I can't fall asleep,my thoughts are running in circles. But usually,I take advertage of this time to make some plan of future or think of some important things.I don't command this way to you because it will make you not fall asleep for all night possiblly. If I drink coffee at that night, the situation will be more terrible. So sorry,I have no effective solution to this problem.

It's okay my friend. I just have those moments sometimes. Try not to drink coffee when it's near bedtime. It's a proven sleep buster. Thanks for sharing! :)

Dear friend, I also get to sleep very quickly. The main reason for it is, my mind is so cool. I don't think about my problems when i get into sleep. Every one can have a quick peaceful sleep if their mind is refresh. Thanks

Just be sure not to read the book lying down, as it has bad effects for your eyesight. But I'm glad it works for you. Thanks for sharing! :)

I fall asleep vey easily although when I was youngerI would be awake for easily an hour before I dropped off to sleep. When I go to bed I plan what I am going to do the next day and make a note of it, then I read a book for about 10 minutes, then I have some tapes, self hypnosis tapes, that I listen to as I am falling asleep.

I always have difficulty sleeping. Maybe because I drink coffee everyday. Like 2-3 cups. My day is not complete without it. Sometimes I try to read a book to help me sleep but I end up finishing it and stay awake till 3am. But it's ok, got used to it already.

Caffeine keeps us awake so if you're a coffee drinker, it would be really hard to sleep easily. Maybe if you don't take it near bed time and just in the mornings it wouldn't affect you much. Thanks for sharing! :)

I cant sleep when the TV is on. If i really need to sleep like a baby I need to read a not so good book just to make me sleep. One page after and im on my way to dreamland.
