More than 20 percen o fChinese toys and baby clothes are substandard,according to the country's consumer safe watchdog,according to a report on Monday.Some toys made by local factories were even potentially adngerous ,the Beijing News said,citing a nationwide probe by the general Administration of Quality Superivsion,inspection and Quarantine.Industrial waste ,including dirty carpet fluff,paper and used instant-noodle packaging,was found stuffed inside some toys made by factories in the northern province of Hebei and sold at rock-bottom prices nationwide,the newspaper added.'These fluffy toys with bacteria or even viruses in them could cause children to itch if the touch them for a short time,or even cause disease ove the long term,"the newspape said. Some toys had parts that could be easily torn off and potentially injure children,it said,adding that it was not uncommon for children to get sick or sie because of poor-quality toys. The watchdag found that some baby clothes contained chemicals that could cause skin problems ,the newspaper said. About 5percent of baby lilk powder tested was found to be of poor quality ,with some containing excessive amounts of nitrate,it added. Please give more regarding to children.

Though chinese produce largest quantities of all consumer and leisure time products, they are not qualitative. The Chinese companies need to have some homework on R&D

the chinese government must undertake the necessary steps to put these factories in check. awareness must come to them that they are causing havoc not only in china but, throughout hte world as these products are being exported worldwide. government must be able to get some measures in place in order to establish quality products rather than just come up with quantity. there will come a time when people will become wary of chinese products regardless of the nature of the items. it is best that something is done now rather than wait for the time when so much damage will have been done to the image of chinese products.
