An unforgettable memory for me is back when I used to live in the Dominican Republic and my neighbor had this huge dog tied up. My brother and I were teasing the dog, barking at it and things like that and all of a sudden it got loose, and ran after us. My brother (7 at the time) and me (5 at the time) ran like the devil and I remember him right behind me. We made it to our patio just as he went for the bite! Though nothing happened to us.
Later as I was older, I saw a picture of that dog and he was TEENY. I had always wondered how he didn't catch up to us, but he was a small dog. I guess he looked huge to me because I was so small. Lol!

My most unforgettable childhood memory was when Dad would take us out to the country and we would have a picnic and a whole day to spend with Dad and Mom. No distractions like other adults interrupting when I was talking to them. I loved this time. Dad was very relaxed and smiled a lot. He always made sure we were by the river because he knew I liked to swim a lot. Often I think back on those special days and smile. My Dad has been passed away for awhile now but he still lives in my heart and I can still see him standing watching me swim.

I'm sorry that you already lost your Dad. However, your childhood memories with your Dad is simply amazing. Not all Dads are like you Dad. I myself could not imagine happy memories with my Dad. You're Dad must be great.

He was a wonderful man and always went out to help other people also. He was a accordian player and I have many happy memories of him doing that also when we would go to a picnic or when we had a party at the house. I would love to listen to him play. He had a natural talent for playing the accordian. I have heard other people play the accordian but no one holds a light to the way my dad played. I have heard my friends talk about their child hood and it was not a happy one. I was blessed with a dad that cared. Not only about his family but about other people also.
