My first childhood friend is my neighbour. We had been friends now for 32 years now. We became friends when I was just 1 year old and he was 3 years old. Although I have shifted out of my native place for job purposes, I am still in touch with him and he is my best friend till today. And most importantly, I never remember having fought even once with him during the entire period of 32 years. I happen to speak to him atleast once in a month and then we share all the lovely memories of our childhood friendship. I really miss him a lot. Do you have such an old friendship.

wow-- that is pretty impressive- I ran into one of my first childhood friends a couple of days ago- It's funny he was my neighbor for alot of my childhood- Then I moved and we lost contact- alot of it was that he didn't run with my circle of friends as we got older- I ran into him at his son's and my nephews baseball game- he helps coach the team- He was so nice- talking to me like we had been friends forever- I feel bad because I dropped him years ago-But I'm also glad that he didn't hold it against me and considers me a friend today- He turned out to be a great dad and a nice person.

hi unuzzz..... thats so sad that you have not been able to keep in touch with your childhood friend as you are short on time. But dont worry, if you get some spare time at some of the weekends you can try meeting your friend. all the best.

I do still see her around the neighborhood but she no longer speaks to me up to now. I guess we just have nothing in common anymore and we do move in different circles. However, I have some childhood friends that I would really love to get to know again and reconnect.

No I've lost touch with all childhood friends.. even friends from my teens.. as I moved away.. I do still send a christmas card to one though! And get one from her. I usually put a little note in mine, but she doesn't in hers.. (oh well - tho she did once when she had her first grandchild:) - That's a great record for you! Having such a very long term friend. My husband and I have many friends we knew thirty years ago, and we still get together with them all about three or four times a year.

nope, I moved around ever two years growing up. So my early childhood friends were short and sweet friendships. I have kept in touch with a few friends from middle school.

No. I have ended all contacts from my childhood. Some of them lived in my block and still meet sometimes their parents. But no need to renew the things.

magica, you said there is no need to renew the relationship between your childhood friends but nobody knows tomorrow, they might be there for you. do if you come across them again.

My parents moved from the city in which I was born when I was about 5 years old. I don't really have many memories of that time. My best friend in kindergarten got removed from her mothers care when she was in the 3rd grade. We lost contact at that time. I pften have wondered what happened to her but I haven't been able to find out any information about her.

Though I dont have touch with my first childhood friend, I am still in contact with my friend from highschool. Infact we both are neighbours and our families have also become friends. It is really good to have one such friend around.

I am sorry that I am not, my family was always moving and we did not develope many close bonds in our early youth as everyone else around us was also nomadic.

I have lost touch with all my first childhood friends. Thanks for putting up this post. I think I should try and locate some if not all of my childhood friends. it would be good to see where and what everybody else is up to right now.

One of my best friends growing up had the same ducky necklace as I did in Kindergarten. That was 27 years ago. We were each other's Maid/Matron of honor at our weddings. We've stuck through some tough times together. She lives in Texas and normally I live in Missouri, so we correspond by e-mail once in a blue moon when the mood strikes. She is one of the few friendships I hold on to from my youth even though we are totally different people. She is a staunch republican and I'm pretty much a liberal though I don't go around stating my opinions. She and my husband do not get along which is not a big deal since we live in different states and rarely see each other. It's nice to have someone that you can call and say remember when . . .

My best childhood friend was my class mate who tought me to sign. ( He designed my signature and I still use it) When my father got a transfer and left that place our contact also had broken. After years I searched him in batchmates.com ( orkut was not available that time). And I found him. Now we are in contact.
