Words of Advice on dating

Before my son started dating I told him there were three things that he should never mention to a woman. Her age, her weight and never, never mention anything about excess facial hair! What advice have you given your children about dating or new relationships?

I've always told my children to be honest and to be themselves; to be respectful and respected. I told them to have fun and not to take things too seriously; and to never tolerate abuse.
