I was wondering if anyone has ever gone to an interview or anything for movie extras, ect. This fits with my last discussion "Shyness Holding Me Back." I just want to know what to expect if I call the people. So if you have ever been to an interview dealing with being a movie extra or anything like that please tell me what happened during it, what thye ask you, etc. Thank you

I went to an interview for the movie Die Hard 2, I lived in Alpena Michigan. Thats where they did alot of the movie. They, when the interview was over let the one know who was going to be in the movie. Those people got a second interview. I never got a second interview. So I can't tell you much after that point.

I was trying out for an extra for the airport scenes, cuz they were all filmed on location. The actual interview was, we all stood in line for about 4 1/2 hours in zero degrees f. weather. when we finally got in the civic center where the interviews were held. There were about 300 at a time, each one of us had 15 seconds to tell a little about our selves. All the people who did outragous things like rap or tap dance etc.... got a second interview. I guess I was not interesting enough. They sent me home, I went to the bar. I watched the movie one time, I saw alot of people that I know, and never watched it again!

i was a movie extra once, just once...it was the most boring day of my life lol...the day started at 6 and ended at 11 pm and we only got paid like $30....you had to sit there while they did retake after retake...the movie that i was in was about an ice skater and it was a made for tv movie... however, in saying that, a relative of mine was in santa claus 1 w/ tim allan and loved being an extra... my advice is just be yourself :-) i cant remember the name of it (it was in the late 80's) and

The thing that I'm looking at says we can make up to 250 a day...800 a week. But I think they are looking for full time extras, not just for one movie/show/etc.

My brother had a girlfriend that did extra work on Walker, Texas Ranger filming in Dallas. But I don't know how to get in touch with her. I think she was in touch with the local film crew. I also don't think you ever really get to see her face to clearly, I don't really know.
