hi guys. i have a teacher like this. i have a 3 hour class with her and im telling you, it is really a pain in the neck. lolz. i have to keep my eyes open for three straight hours and my mind is already drifting to somewhere else! lolz. i have been daydreaming because i think i can only keep my attention on her for about 45 minutes, 1 hour would be the longest. lolz. :P what about you? did you ever have a teacher who is so boring? what did you do to amuse yourself while you were in her class?

I have alot of them when I was in College. Those professors make me feel sick. Sometimes I can't help myself, my eyes wanted to close. We have no choice but to stay in her/his class. There are times when I just keep my focus on the lesson alone, I mean I study by myself. Or I will have a conversation with my seatmate and talk about any interesting topics.

In that case, me an my friends talk silently or else we use paper and ballpen to communicate inside the class. Kind of weird, lol!

getting sleepy in class is really not a good feeling especially when the classroom is airconditioned, i tend to fall even more sleepy because of that. lolz. :P its nice to talk with our seatmate but sometimes there are teachers who are just too strict and then they will scold us or shame us infront of the whole class. :P

yup had this teacher back in high school. he taught electronics.. mind you he's not only boring, he spoke so soft that only he can hear what he is talking. and he faces the blackboard and not the class! what we did to amuse ourselves? played tic-tac-toe with seatmates.. or any high school games that you can play with paper..

haha. :P you are right, there are some teachers who seem to be contented in just talking to the blackboard and they are assuming that we can understand them. lolz. :P i guess they are those old-fashioned teachers, right?

Yeah. There are good teachers and the boring one... back at school then, i will give my full attention in class so that i don't have to revise again after class. So it will save some of my time. But except for one or two subjects. Most of the times, i drew something or wrote a short story or a poem. She never noticed anything.

whena teacher is boring, i tend to do other thing. texting, or sleeping. but sometimes when i can't bear it anymore, i ususally raise my hand tell the teacher, "ma'am i'm really bored about the way you teach, so could you be more lively?"

Yes ;) Lucky for those who doesn't! I just simply slip a piece of paper to my classmate who sat beside me and try to open a discussion. I'ts quite fun but of course we haven't paid so much attention to our lesson on that day so we'll end up reviewing that night. ;(

ooh, passing notes is a classic thing to do when you are in a boring class. lolz. :) we used to do that in the old days, when we were younger. but now that there are cellphones, we dont pass notes to each other anymore, we just text each other. lolz. :)

yes, i did have experienced having a boring teacher. It was my math teacher, at first his teaching style were fine, but as we go on, his voice makes us sleep. I am always sleepy on his class because of his voice. I remember having my one eye close and other open just to keep up with what his teaching.

haha! really? well, what kind of voice did he have? was it like a dj? or something like that of a radio newscaster who would speak in just a monotonous tone? or were you sleepy because of the way he spoke?

Wow! I used to have a teacher back in 8th grade who made every fall asleep. No joke! He was an Integrated Science teacher, but his voice was so deep and monotone that it was hard to stay focused. I couldn't keep my attention for more than 5 minutes without talking to someone else. I would sometimes take out my agenda book and make some drawings. It was that boring! I don't think I've learned much in that year. Some teachers are just so boring! =)

You could probably suggest to have a short break every one hour or so. Tell you what 3 hours of continuous class could be monotonous. I have not heard of 3 hours continuous class being conducted anywhere. The problem may not be as much due to the teacher or with the teacher as wuth the duration of the class. I think breaks are required. All the best to you and your class mates.

you are so right. three hours of boring classroom discussion is really a pain in the neck and not to mention, a pain in the behind, since we're sitting for so long, and mind you, our chairs are made of steel. lolz. :P but there are breaks, too. we have a thrity minute break between that three hour duration, but its not enough. lolz. :P when the class resumes, the class gets even boring. haha. :P

ooh, yes, i so agree with you on that one. some teachers have to know that they shouldnt just read their lecture because we can read it ourselves, you know, lolz. :) teachers should practice and learn to be more interesting so that students wouldnt have to skip their class. lolz. :)

I can't remember much but history has been my most boring lesson because my teacher do no know how to make the subject interesting. Telling past story has never excite me. He kept on reading from the text and by the time he finished it I was already in my wonderland.

well, that's the weakness of some teachers, they tend to just read from the text. lolz. they seem to forget that we already now how to read by ourselves. lolz. :) well, i hope they attend some seminars which would make them more interesting. :)
