Dear friends..I would like to know do you skip your breakfast sometimes or do you always take your breakfast before going for work or before leaving your house. I normally do not skip my breakfast, even if I am in hurry...I will take whatever little I can, say a glass of milk. What do you normally take in your breakfast, when you are in a hurry to leave home. Share your experiences with me.

I always have a substantial breakfast every morning. I believe it is the most important meal of the day. Usually, I have cereal and a cup of tea. I make sure I eat a high fibre cereal too.

breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. i wouldn't recommend skipping breakfast and lunch to anybody because they will often feel tired. it also slows down the metabolism.

sumptuous breakfast.. - we should not skip breakfast.
hi deepak, previously, i used to skip and it went on for quite some time until oneday i had this gastric burns bout when i decided to start it again. my mom and granny used to snap at me always but you know how we girls feel about diet!!LOl.. generally, i have roti or brown bread, eggs, fruits, milk (without sugar) or cereals with fruits or noodles. i have just begun to avoid market bread and juices. on sundays i have puris with white aloodam - that's the only day i can afford to do bit of luxury). my mother says, we should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dnner like a pauper. and rightly so, i am being paid for not breakfasting. you should not skip breakfast atall, deepak. have a heavy, healthy breakfast and you can pull on for the whole day. smiles....... PS: where have you been today??

breakfast - A healthy breakfast by you.
So you have learnt your lessons, once you got into the trouble (hum log jo hai vo ttokar khha kar hi sambhaltey hain!) Oh! you are great...you can have your milk without sugar. I cannot have it without additing sugar or bournvita/cofee. Now a days it is summer, so Mango Shake and Banana Shake are my favourite. (Noodles bhi khaa leti ho....?, I think it is not one of the healthiest of alternatives). What your mother says is absoultely correct...b/f should be riched of the three meals and should not be skipped at all. Puri -aloo is also my favorite and of kids to...if they come to know that on Sunday...it is going to puri-aloo...they feel most delighted. Thanks for lovely response. Have a Nice Day! deepak p.s. - I have added an image, hope you like it.

I'm on night shift in my job so there are times that I skip my breakfast because I usually wake up just before noon. But when I feel hungry, I will just eat before going to bed so in effect I already have my breakfast though its only 4:00am after my working hours.

hi abe. this is a common mistake for people. i am sorry to be so frank. but breakfast is the meal that you eat when you wake up. as i said, it is really "breaking the fast". so no matter what time you wake up or what time you sleep, it doesn't matter. breakfast will always be the meal you eat when you wake up. you are in graveyard shift, so you must eat breakfast to keep your body energized. take care of your health, i know how hard it is to work nights when you should be sleeping.

I usually end up skipping breakfast if I am in a hurry. I can't even look at food when I first get up in the morning...it upsets my stomach. So I will take a granola bar with me in my purse, or an apple or some other piece of fruit. Then when I am hungry later on, I will have it to snack on.

I have honestly been trying to do better at eating in the mornings. But it's still pretty hard. I don't like feeling nauseous, so I try to drink some kind of lemon lime flavored soda first thing, and it's actually been helping a bit. But it still takes a while before I can stand the sight of food. LOL

food pyramid - we should eat a balance diet!
i usually eat something before i go out of the house, especially on working days. when i was younger, my mom forced me to eat before i go to school, because well, breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all! so now it's becoming a habit for me to grab a bite before i leave the house in the morning. my breakfast involves a cup of milk, tea, and cereals, bread, cakes etc...whatever that's edible heheh...

Never would I skip my breakfast. I am one of those people who get hungry within 30 minutes of waking up. I need my coffee, & I need a muffin with a piece of cheese, or two crumpets with maple syrup. On the mornings that my daughter has early morning swimming training, I first eat a muffin (withoput cheese) at 5.00 am, then I'm hungry again at 9.15am, so I buy a subway egg & bacon roll. On the morning that we get up at 4.00am for swimming training, I don't eat breakfast until after, at about 7.30am.

hmm..I generally skip my breakfast and I have my lunch directly..but even as you said I always have something before I leave my place..but the thing is my college timings are such that i cant have my breakfast and lunch..so..thats the reason why I skip my breakfast.. but in reality.., we should never skip our breakfast coz it might create some problem in the later age.. and there is one saying also that we should eat like a king in the morning and eat like a prince in the noon and eat like a pauper in the eve..!!! so..we should not skip our breakfast..it is not good for health..!

I have to admit that there are many times that I do skip breakfast. Usually I am running behind and need to get things done so I just don't bother with breakfast. Sometimes when I know I should like when I am tired and know it would help, I just get lazy and don't eat. I need to get into the habit of eating breakfast, since I always feel better when I eat.

I don't usually eat breakfast before leaving home (ever since I was a kid). I usually just drink (or rather, take a sip) of coffee at home. Then when I get to work, that's where i eat breakfast depending on my schedule. ^_^

anything that you eat when you wake up will be considered a breakfast. breakfast is simply that, breaking the fast. do not worry so much about the time and the noun used for meals. eat plenty when you wake up so that you will not feel tired during the day. what time do you eat dinner? it could be the reason why you sleep so late. you have so much "fuel" therefore you feel more energized at night.

Hi dpk262006. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is necessary to eat your breakfast everyday. I don’t skip meals in the morning because I know it would be of great advantage if you’re going to eat your breakfast. When we eat, it gives us energy for the whole day, thus we can do our routine activities without getting tired easily. We can finish our work faster without hassle. Our health also will be in good hands. That’s it. Have a nice day and God speed!

I am a Vet working for a stud Farm and I stay on the farm itself. Normally I go yo ed not before 2.00 am and just before going to my bed, I have , you can say my Dinner or Lunch (?). I need to get up again early in the mornings to attend my routines. Some times I get at about 6.00 am and some other times I do get at about 8.00 am. So after having my last meal so late at the night I really don't feel like to have anything solid for my break fast and so I avoid my break fast! Yes but I would like to have a cup of my bed tea and after that after another 15 minutes I have my second cup of tea before leaving my place for my work! Having attended my routines I come back almost exhausted and then I like to have another cup of tea. Then only I go for my other routines to attend and at about 2.00 pm I have my lunch! Thus I almost never have my breakfast at all. Yes but then while travelling , some times in train when they provide mandatory breakfast I have it. It becomes quite an embarrassing situation for me when I visit my relatives and guests to refuse breakfast. They look at me they are looking at an animal at Zoo, when I say that I don't have breakfast in routine! This habit I developed since I have taken up Stud Vet as my Career and it is now more than 20 years now I have been on this routine and I am quite comfortable with it! Well I am % feet 10 inches and I am having a good body weight of 74 Kg even without having a breakfast! Yes I even avoid lot of sweets and sweet dishes! Thanks dear friend for initiating such an interesting topic. I liked to have participated in it! All the best!

Yes every day during the work week. I'm not a morning person and do very little around the house before I leave for work. On the weekends I enjoy cooking and eating a big breakfast. It's leisure time then and I have time to enjoy cooking and eating. During the week is too rushed. I will sometimes bring cookies, granola bars, yogurt or honey buns to work with me for a mid morning snack. I also brew coffee once I get to the office. It keeps me going until lunch.

I rarely have breakfast and I never drink milk because I don't like the taste of it . I try to make breakfast important to the chidlren but just never feel hungry when I get up and have a hard time eating . The only time I will take the time to sit down and eat something in the morning is if we have to do something for the day and I know that I am going to be hungry later on . When I do have breakfast I don't eat much , a little bit of cereal or a piece of toast . The only time I eat breakfast for sure is every year at Christmas . We make bacon and eggs and toast and no one is allowed to open any gifts until everyone has eaten . My husband and I find that Christmas is a day that children tend to eat too much junk for the day so we try to start them off by eating someting healthy and we sit down with them as well .

If I get up late and am in a hurry I skip breakfast but I make sure my son eats before we go. Sometimes I do grab a glass of water and or quick coffee and then out the door. I normally have cereal/oatmeal or coffee with toast.

I usually try to eat something every morning. There are somedays that this isn't possible, but I will still at least try to eat a banana or a slice of toast. My usual breakfast is a bowl of cereal with milk. These days that cereal is Cinnomon Life. I love that stuff! :) My hubby who rushes out of the house before 6 am, even manages to grab a bite to eat in the car on his way to work. It used to be a poptart and banana, but now, I've got him taking a baggie of cereal (Cherrios and Wheat Chex) because it's a little healthier for him. He still takes his banana as well. What a good boy!
