If you had a chance to go into space would you? Why? Why not?

Suppose that you had a chance to go on a mission to space, would you go? Why or why not?

I would not want to go. I don't think. Why? Well, because I have anxiety and panic attacks and I think I'd freak out being closed up in that suit. Also, I love trees, flowers, green grass and the ocean, I don't see anything appealing to see in the air!

I love the sky and astronomy but I wouldn't go running off into space. I think commercial space travel is not very safe. When they get some Mars colonies settled, I might want to go there for a visit..lol. But I am afraid it would have to be in another lifetime. At my age, the risk factors would be to high I think. But it is a pleasant thought.

I'd like to go for a day trip maybe....don't think I'd want to spend weeks or months up there. It would be really cool to view the Earth from that perspective. I'd be the first Scotsman in space which would be very exciting. I somehow think I'd probably fail the medical though and not be allowed to go....call it a hunch

I wanted to be an astronaught when I was a kid. If there was anyway now, that I would get the opportunity to go into space, I definetely would do it. I would love to see what it is really like up there.

No way would I go, I don't even like to fly on planes. I am claustrophobic too which doesn't help. My hubby on the other hand would jump at the chance. He loves to watch the nasa channel on tv when they are about to launch something.

I would only go because I want to see how it is out there and if it is true about all the stuff they said about space. I guess it will answer the question if the space is really the final frontier.

I would never be able to do it! I'm bad enough on an airplane, I can't even imagine the panic attacks that I would have in that tiny space ship! There's too much to do on earth, as far as I'm concerned. If I run out of places to visit here, then maybe I would consider it- LOL!

I can not think of a more fulfilling or wonderful experience. Imagine the sights you could see, the bodily experiences. With saying that I could not do it. I have a hard time just getting on an airplane and have to go to my Doctor for a script of Valium every time I must do it. I have panic attacks when my feet are not somehow close to the ground. I can not do roller coasters, many theme parks rides are just hateful and disgusting to me :)) LMAO my kids have always hated it, but mom is a wuss when it comes to heights.

I don't reckon I'd pass the physical for a start, too heavy...lol. Also, getting in and out of cars etc is difficult, I can't imagine it being any easier in a rocket. As well as those issues, the older I become the less I enjoy flying. I'd have to check out the in-flight menu, no energy pills for this little piggy. I'd want real tucker. Another area of concern would be the evacuating of my bladder etc, that would need to be done in comfort...and speaking of which, I wonder if they do comfort stops. Therefore, as much as I'd love the thrill of the adventure and the wondrous sights, I'd have to pass. I'd probably get the short straw for doing the maitenance on the outside of the ship with my luck.

Absolutely, as a kid, I wanted to be an astronaut. Of course back then, girls did not do those kinds of things, I got laughed at for even dreaming that I could do it. I remember writing to NASA and getting all kinds of books and pictures on the space program. I used to sit and read and re-read those for hours at a time. Yes, I would go. I am so glad girls have more opportunities now then we did then.

I wanted to be an astrnaught too when I was a kid, back then I didn't realise that would be impossible for me, especially as I am an asthmatic.

No offence but are you, CRAZY? Seriously though no heck I wouldn't. I hate heights so I wouldn't dream of being in a tiny thing. On the other hand I wished I did could see it but I'm not about to do that. (If given the chance) ~Joey
