ive never gotten any kind of infection from drinking refrigerated water..nor have i ever heard of anybody that had that happen. perhaps there is something in the water you are drinking..is it tap water? or perhaps you should get a check up with your doctor, there might be an underlying medical reason that this seems to happen to you so often.

"we get tonsils" what? you are born with tonsils. if a LOT of ppl in your country get some kind of infection from drinking cold water...its got to be something in the water. bad quality control i would think.

Yes drinking very cold water is one of the major reasons of getting throat infection.actually when you drink cold water your body temperature suddenly drops.due to which the virus can attack your body as your body's immunity gets reduced temporarily.so don't drink too much cold water.

Cold water kinda temporarily immobilizes the cilia (hair like structures that trap bacteria etc) in your throat and leaves your body vulnerable to infection for that period. I've noticed that if I drink cold water in polluted cities I get a throat infection very quick but am fine drinking it all day back home where the pollution is less - I have a sensitive throat so this should not apply to everyone else however I think this is the reason some people get throat infections by drinking cold water by personal experience.

that's unusual. I think you should consult your doctor because there maybe something wrong with your throat. Perhaps it has something to do with your tonsil or maybe even more serious. To be sure have it check.
