I work at walmart and last night at work I started thinking. How many people actually love walmart and how many people actually hate it? Me....I hate working there but I love the prices. U can get any better in our area!

While I do enjoy the prices, I hate that they have driven every other grocery store (except one) out of our town. I also hate that our local WalMart refuses to hire enough help. The average time in line to pay is around 40 minutes....that is on a good day. The first week of the month one can count on being in line well over an hour. Ice cream is usually melting into the floor, frozen goods are totally thawed etc. They will usually have at maximum 4-6 checkouts open. Pathetic. Most of us have begun going elsewhere and paying a few cents more per item.

I really don't like Wal-Mart for a number of reasons. I mainly don't like them because they drive small business out of business in small towns. They also aren't the best for employee treatment. the stores i've been to also tend to be dirty and disorganized.

I have to say Wal-Mart does have good prices but sometimes I think paying a little bit more at another store is worth it just not to have to go to Wal-Mart. I know quite a few people that have worked or are working at Wal-Mart and they do/did not like it at all. Our Wal-mart is remodeling and you cannot find anything and they are moving everything around, I hate it when I finally figure out where everything is and then go back and it is all moved. Well, I vented a little. LOL

Okay, okay, honestly? I HATE Wally World (wal-mart). Sorry. Only because I am Canadian and it is not. I prefer to support Canadian stores. It is true the prices are usually cheaper and that is the reason that so many Canadian stores are forced to shut down. We just can't compete. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-American, I'm in love with an American (my bf is from NH). But I am all for supporting my own countries companies. Wally world has brought some jobs to areas around here that were lacking in them but overall it is still causing more unemployment because instead of 8 or 9 smaller stores all employing a bunch of people you have the wal-mart that employes less people then those that just lost their jobs. Now Target is trying to move into the Canadian market to compete. I hope that never happens. They attempted to buy "Zellers" an all Canadian department store that is losing huge to wallyworld but Zellers refused to sell because they are proudly Canadian. So that is my take on wally world.

To be honest with you I don't like Wal-Mart. Most of the products you get there are junk. Yes, they do have low prices but its because they sell you junk that will be broke within a year thinking you will return there just to buy a new one. Most of the employees that I have encountered are so over worked that they don't have time for the customers anymore. It makes me feel like I am inconviencing them by shopping there at all. If they treat their customers this way I can imagine how they treat their employees. Actually I kinda already know because I have had family members who worked there.

We get most of our stuff from Walmart except groceries. My local Walmart is not a supercenter but there is one about 20 minutes away. I didn't really think the grocery prices were all that great anyway. But I think the prices are good for other things we need. I get all my prescriptions there too. You just can't beat that $4 price for your prescriptions.

I love Walmart, my daughter is the Walmart queen. I used to shop a lot when they had one close to where I live then they closed it and opened a supercenter too far for me to bother with so back to KMart.

I work at walmart too, in the bakery, and I actually like it. I used to work in another one back in PA, and I hated it, but I was on the front end then. I hesitated to even apply to the one here, but I actually do like my job. I like shopping there too, I save with my discount card, and this week, my discount savings paid for my new dress, so it was worth it. I don't like the fact that a lot of their products come from other countries due to outsourcing, I used to work in a warehouse who provided a lot of things to Walmart, and none of the things were made in the USA. That is really my only gripe. But the Walmart here provides a lot of jobs for this small town, and with so many other places closing their doors, it's an option for people. Our store is being remodeled too, and they are hiring a lot more people.

I love my discount card, LOL. I remember when walmart used to be all things made in USA. and then they found out they could get it cheaper...so now everything is made other places. Did u guys switch to a quarterly bonus? I think it sucks. How much did u guys get for this quarter? We only got $200. If u dont want to post it ...you can message me. I was just curious.

I haven't been there long enough to qualify for the bonus. But I heard through the grapevine that nobody got their bonuses yet and it's only going to be about $40.00.

I am kinda neutral. I like it because you can get everything you need in one place, but it is so big and takes forever to get your shopping done. I also tend to go when I only need a couple of needy items where one is on one side of the store and the other is on the end. I try to go late at night though so it is not so crowded. We tend to have the aisle hoggers that want to stand there and chit chat with there carts in the middle of the aisles and not move for people. Or the ones that love to practically run you over when trying to get out of an aisle. Since ours went super store they actually have cut out alot of things you use to be able to buy or they keep very low inventory on things you want to buy. Never a win win situation! I choose Wal-Mart over K-Mart & Target though!

Lol-you must live by me :) People standing in the aisles and not moving....same thing here. I'm from the North originally, now in the South, and I'm just having a hard time adjusting to the "culture shock" of people doing that kind of stuff :)

I love walmart, even if I was filthy rich I would still shop at walmart. There prices CANNOT be beat, they also have good customer service at most of their stores. Shopping at walmart is a good day for me :)

I don't really love or hate WalMart. However I do realize their importance in the area I live. Since they have come basically all the smaller stores have been driven out of business. I am not saying whether that is right or wrong, but it is certainly significant. Such a monopoly can not be a good thing in the long run. cheers,

I think Wal-Mart is good. I love their prices also on some items- I prefer to shop in Hornell than in Geneseo- Geneseo is the Super Wal-Mart- I find their quality is sub par in meat, fruit, and produce. I gladly pay the extra and get mine at Top’s or Wegman’s. I do prefer to shop at Wal-Mart for all other items- Cleaning supplies, party items, canned goods, school supplies, etc. I love the self checkers at Wally & the Subways. So I guess you can say I love it!

I love the prices and the selection. I mean you can get groceries and music CDs in the same place. But there is one worker at my local Walmart who is so hateful, that I feel beaten down just for her checking me out. She tries to ignore me and if she has to talk to me, she does so in short staccato words. This has happened 3 times with this girl. You may think, why not get in another line? Well, the time of day I get my groceries, she was the only line open other than self checkout. And I am awful with self checkout. It's sad to say, but I've altered my time of grocery shopping, just because of her! I just keep telling myself how miserable she must be as a person, to be so cranky to strangers. That she must be going through extreme personal pain.

We love Wal-Mart, and shop there all the time. We have 4 different wal-marts in our area. I love going to the super center. It's huge. But I think they should be more like Target and have many more resisters open. But ya can't beat the prices at Wal-Mart.

I like Walmart if I need something right now. Otherwise I try shopping on my own My Power Mall on line shopping mall. It was free to join, has 1000+ stores on it, and you earn off of what you need anyway. And even can offer it to others to join on and earn off them too. Just as I am offering it to you. Just check out My Power Mall on my profile page, and check out my website Faithfully By Terri on my profile page and it will show you the lay out of the mall. If you don't want to join that is fine, just book mark it as your favorite place to shop on line. Thanks
